Summary
“Say. It,” Steve insisted more urgently. His voice was harsh, demanding, but Bucky noticed a note of fear in it too, as if the other man was genuinely afraid Bucky would refuse him.
Next to him, Zemo crossed his arms over his chest in a gesture of impatience and rolled his eyes. He looked smug beside Steve, standing there as if he belonged. Bucky wanted to erase that smug expression on his face, because it annoyed him so much that he suddenly forgot about his pain, about the chains that held him tight and found the will to fight.
He turned to look Steve straight in the eyes, “Hail Hydra,” he announced as solemnly as he could muster.
Alternates the ending of Thunderbolts 2016 #11, where instead of refusing Steve, Bucky lies to him and pretends to join Hydra, so he could find a way to snap his friend out of Kobik’s mind control. Steve sees through his lie, but he has own plans for his companion and intends to keep Bucky by his side.
Their actions in the past have consequences on the present, however, and as Bucky returns to his timeline, he has to face them too.- Language:

When Steve awoke he wasn’t sure where he was at first. Everything was fluffy around him. It took him a moment to open his eyes and focus.
He was in his room, in his bed and he was...surrounded by pillows?
Steve blinked and looked around. It seemed like every pillow, cushion and soft furnishing in his apartment had been dumped on his bed. Actually, no, not dumped, he realised. They’d been placed all around him, forming a sort of cocoon. He looked round at them all and his eyes found Bucky, sitting on the floor at the side of the bed, knees up to his chest, arms wrapped round them, watching Steve.

Summary
In 1923, at the mere age of six, Dr. What’s-His-Face had had the nerve to recommend that Bucky have his tonsils removed. Bucky had promptly told him to fuck off, and then punched him in the nuts.
Flash forward to a hundred years later, and it was finally time to pay the piper.

Bucky has to suffer through an adult tonsillectomy!

Summary
After Project Insight, the Soldier is left without a handler, so it returns to the only one it knows is alive -- the former target, the Captain, the man it remembers kneeling for. At first he seems unfit for the job. His protocol is strange, and he does not want to use it like the other handlers did. But as the Soldier comes to know him, it begins to think he might be the best handler it has ever had.
