Summary
Armie and Timothée were originally friends, or maybe thatʼs a generous term to use when they truthfully only tolerated each other. It was all good between them; Armie thought Timmy was madly talented, Timmy thought Armie was unbelievably hilarious. They were friends, until one night at a party Timothée accidentally impressed a girl that Armie had his eyes on, and they’ve stayed on the border of hostility since.
They're happy to ignore each other despite being in the same friend group, until March 2020 came and L.A was put under lockdown. Timmy had nowhere to go but a hotel that would effectively put him to debt, so Nick sent him to Armieʼs doorstep. Whether it's murder or romance remains to be seen.

“Anyways, all I said was that it’s a totally incongruous day for a birthday.”
It takes Armie several seconds to unpack that sentence, mostly because the four syllables of incongruous lilted in Timmy’s French-y, Manhattan-y voice make him want to laugh and cry and kiss him all at once. Timothée is casually smarter and more at ease with (three!) languages than Armie will ever be.
“Why?” Armie asks, persistent if nothing else.
“Just...the holidays, man.” Timothée’s voice has this measured, patient quality to it like he knows Armie is being dumb but won’t call him out on it. “Everyone’s over it all by now. Shit, I’m over it. Christmas was two days ago.”
I’m not over it, is what Armie wants to say. I’d fly from LA to show up tonight with a bottle of champagne and some sexy fucking jewelry in a goddamn gift bag for you if you’d be okay with it.

Charmie parallel universe AU:Timmy goes to Austin to present Armie an award. Though it leaves him drained, because he knows deep down that he’s fallen deeply in love with the older (and married) man. After an emotional night, one fraught with tension (should he tell Armie how he feels? How would he respond? Can he ever feel the same way?) he decides not to tell him, it’s for the best this way. Armie has a wife and kids and a career and Timmy is just a kid and….hey maybe in some parallel universe they are together at least. The next morning Timmy realizes things are..off. He’s still in Austin. Still in his hotel room, but the tissues piled by the bed as he cried himself to sleep are gone, and the side of the bed next to him is still warm and is that the shower running? When Armie emerges from the bathroom, dripping wet and calling him honey, he knows something is very very different. An AU where Timmy wakes up in his OWN AU, where he finds he’s slipped into some sort of parallel dimension where he is with Armie, but at what cost? What are the differences between this reality and his real one for better or worse and are they worth it to have Armie? How will he navigate this?
