My humble attempt at bridging the gap between the end of The Brothers Karamazov and Dostoevsky's idea for the sequel. Lots of philosophizing ensues.
Or, Alyosha and Ivan picking up the pieces. Alyosha searches for his purpose in a cruel world. Ivan has picked up some new ideas from his younger brother. They find themselves enmeshed in the political machinations of Petersburg anyway.
