Summary
“Don’t run.”
Jason reels back. That guttural voice could only belong to one person.
A fraying gauntlet clamps down on his shoulder. “Did you have a justifiable cause when you murdered that man?”
Of course it’s an accusation. He wants to join the worms in their chorus of laughter.
As it is, he swallows his elation and grinds the morsel to dust. “Your city is falling apart and you want to waste your time worrying about whether or not I had a legitimate reason for slicing up that rabies-infested piece of meat? What kind of a protector are you?”
The Batman grunts in lieu of a response.
Earth-51 Bruce + New Earth Jason reunite at the end of the world.

Summary
Very little surprises Batman. He has helmed the defence of Gotham for fourteen full years and counting, and over that time he has faced all manner of threat. City takeovers, plagues, earthquakes, transportation hijackings, brainwashing—nights that canvass the entire spectrum of the human experience. Over time he has come to expect the horrors. Has learnt to brace in advance and prepare his stomach for the novel reveal of another sick trick.
But tonight it is not some new depravity that startles him. It is instead the ingenuity of a figure cloaked in fabric imperceptible to his cowl’s thermal scanning. An invisible man creeping away from his car.
Batman laughs and the stranger whips his head in his direction.
Bruce is waylaid when he finds an adolescent beside the Batmobile clutching a detonator. [Red Hood: Lost Days #2 Canon Divergence.]

Summary
“Someone is dead,” she starts.
She can see he wants to interrupt, probably with some joke about how you can’t throw a rock without hitting a corpse in this city. She doesn’t know how to tell him his jokes are bad, so she pushes forward.
“He’s a man I thought I knew well. A man I thought knew me. Who understood what I wanted — who I was trying to be. He was the only one to know me in that way. But now… now he’s gone. And his final words—”
The stranger jolts. His attention is entirely hers.
“They make me wonder if he ever knew me at all. If…”
“… if you’d only fooled yourself into imagining something that wasn’t there.”
Battle for the Cowl Epilogue: Jason + Cass talk about Bruce’s will + their identity issues + don’t deal well with either.

Summary
A brother is like a scar.
Ugly. Unwanted.
Foisted on you anyway.
One year after Blüdhaven's destruction by Chemo, Dick Grayson doesn't have a life with pieces enough to pick up. If he ignores all the scars though, he might just be able to build something new. But Jason Todd is the last person who could help him with that.

Summary
Scandinavian folklore: The myling comes into existence when a child is unwanted and therefore killed by its mother. It is forced to roam the earth until it can persuade someone to bury it properly (or otherwise cause enough of a ruckus to make its wishes known).
-- What happens if Jason learns of his victim blaming before he makes his return?

Summary
Canon Divergent AU where the Joker revives Jason + torments him for a while before a facsimile of canonical events unfold. This happens when the Joker temporarily gains the reality-bending powers of a god during the Superman: Emperor Joker arc of the early 2000s. This has the (un?)intended consequences of leading Jason to develop a vacillating awareness that he’s a comic book character—with all the existential crisis that entails.

bar’onshin - one legally responsible for own misdoings (an older rabbinical term for bar mitzvah)
bar mitzvah - one who is subject to the law; a coming of age ritual, held for boys at age 13.
Or: Robin is an adult. Jason is an adult. He's not a child.

Bookmarker's Notes
One of the rare canon-informed fics on Titans Tower <3. Cathartic to read. I really enjoyed it. This usefully touches upon the fanon/canon disparity in Jason & Tim’s treatment as Robin, + how inextricable that + their imagined ages are from classism — eg. Jason’s poverty renders him an eternal ‘adult’ whilst Tim’s cushioning of wealth protects him forever as a ‘child’. DC’s reluctance to let Tim grow up whilst acting like Jason is Dick’s peer (+ even, on several horrifying occasions, older than him) is testament to how far this nonsense has gone. This fic is really great.

Bookmarker's Notes
Paraphrased from the comment I left.
WARNING FOR SPOILERS:
Though I'm really not a fan of how it goes unaddressed that Talia only slept with Jason in canon after she had been tortured by Nyssa into being super evil [in Batman: Death + the Maidens], this fic left me feeling exposed like a live wire, something few stories have achieved. I only mention the Talia situation as a heads up to Talia fans, not in an attempt to criticise the author. The author's prose is phenomenal, + the extensive examination of sexual violence's importance within Jason's psychology + story is beyond any other work I've read from this fandom.
This ending will stick with me a very long time. At every stage, Jason hurt himself + others to do what he thought would gain him another's love + it always backfired. The brutal but liberating message of this story seems to be that you have to build a life that isn't dependent on how much others love you. Love cannot be earned. It doesn't really matter what Jason does after this story's end - most of his family were reared on his poor memory + will hate him forever for his actions. But that's okay, because his existence is not dependent on someone loving him. Which is really the fundamental lesson of growing up. <3

Summary
"Ma'am," says Nick, her doorman, sounding hesitant. "I know it's not my place, but he looks—erratic. He's been shivering and talking to himself for the last five minutes. Are you sure I should let him in?"
Talia leans closer to the speaker. "Is he armed?"
"Not as far as I can tell."
Talia considers that for a moment. It is a very short moment.
"Send him up," she decides.
After struggling with the effects of his failsafe, Jason decides to seek refuge with Talia in Metropolis.
