Summary
Maki is fine. He's fine.
He has processed the moment, categorized it, shoved it in the "To-revisit-later" cabinet inside his head. Sure, it would be nice if he could scroll his phone without seeing it everywhere.
Especially cause every time he happens to come across it, he ends up watching it again. And again. And every time he does, he somehow manages to spot something new, something he hadn't noticed before.
All broadcasted in 4k, slowed down and zoomed in right in front of Maki's eyes.
He just wishes the kiss hadn't happened because of a game. And, even more than that, he wishes it hadn't happened right when Jo is about to leave for Japan.

Summary
It starts with a whisper.
A couple of ladies on the elevator, stopping their conversation as soon as Yunseo makes his way inside. He notices it again at lunch break, up in the communal canteen, where Yunseo is trying to go unnoticed in his corner while two soldiers animatedly whisper about something he’s too far to properly piece together.Something about a mission, something that has the entire department on edge. The blaring sound of the alarm cuts their conversation short, the intercom's robotic voice warning everyone to go to their assigned stations and wait for further instructions.
A mermaid, he hears. They caught a mermaid, alive.

Summary
Every time Taerae walks through the door of the Evnne's dorm, all the attention is on him.
Laughter and hugs and "Hyung, we got this snack in Japan, you have to try it!". There's joy and there's history there and Yunseo would never even think of trying to put himself between all that.
He’s happy to watch from the sidelines with a smile, to wait until the waters have calmed down to walk through the living room and approach their welcomed guest. Jihoo and Jeonghyeon are still bickering in front of a laughing Taerae when he slips behind them, coming to stand by Taerae’s side with a murmured, “Hi, hyung.”
or: Yunseo and Taerae visit each other's dorms.

Summary
It's one thing to get a crush on his best friend's roommate. A bit awkward sometimes, like that one time Ricky caught said crush asleep on the couch. It's another thing to find out that the pretty roommate is not only a sugar baby, but that Ricky is exactly his type.

Summary
"Touch me, baby, put your lips on mine
Could go to hell, but we'll probably be fine
I know you want it, baby, you can have it
Oh, I've never done it, let's make it cinematic
Like that one sex scene that's in Mulholland Drive
I wanna know, baby, what is it like?"-Chappell Roan, "Naked In Manhattan"
When their promotional schedules finally overlap, Taerae and Hanbin find themselves sharing a room again after a long time. Some things didn't change, but maybe they did.

Summary
Nicholas leans against the concrete wall by the station. He has to look up to meet Euijoo’s eyes, just a tiny lift of his chin. Euijoo keeps seeing the vague outlines of what Nicholas is thinking seconds before he even thinks it. In this industry—in this awful, vapid industry—it’s a virtue. Euijoo hasn’t spoken to someone this open, who makes him want to open up like this in years.
“I guess I just keep wondering,” Nicholas says, shy and unflinching in equal measure, looking right at him. “Does anybody really know you?”
Byun Euijoo is an actor with walls a mile high. Enter Wang Yixiang, his new stylist.

Summary
"Yuma? You there?"
Yuma snaps out of it. Poor Jo—he'd left him hanging. "Yeah, sorry. He texted me."
"Nicholas?"
"Harua."
"Oh." Jo sounds a little confused. "What did he have to say?"
"He's giving me tips on how to seduce his brother," Yuma replies. With new energy, he springs from the mattress and throws his closet doors open, squeezing past his parents’ storage boxes to rummage through the hangers. "I guess I have to sneak a crop top into my outfits this week somehow."
A pause. The scratching of pencil against paper on the other end. "This deal seems odd," is all Jo says, before falling silent again.
(or: yuma, a burnt out college sophomore on summer break, and harua, a wannabe rebel stuck in gap year hell, make a deal with nicholas as the collateral. other things end up on the line, too.)

Summary
“We should go together. As a couple. Let’s bullshit everyone and say that they were right all along and we did have feelings for each other and we started dating recently. It’ll save us from a couple weeks of Yuma engineering shitty plots to get us in awkward situations, and potential blind dates with half of Yudai’s family.”
That fic where Nicholas and Harua pretend to date for Yudai and Fuma's wedding.

Summary
If Jo had been lying down and facing the wall, then it would’ve been fine. It wouldn’t have mattered that he missed the extra pair of shoes in the foyer, he would’ve been fine leaving the door ajar. Yuma would’ve stumbled in and seen his still form, and assumed he was asleep.
But Jo forgot to lie down and face the wall. So Yuma stumbles in and finds him flinching through an orgasm, catching his release in a Kleenex, sighing out, “Kei-hyung–”
In October of 2018, six hundred and sixty-five million light years away from Earth, a small star was cannibalized in the dark void of space. It was just one-tenths the mass of our solar system’s sun. A postdoctoral fellow at the Space Telescope Science Institute observed the phenomenon for three months, and deemed the entire affair to be wholly unremarkable. There was no funeral.
Or; An ode to AT2018hyz.
