Just as quickly as the hug came, it's over.
"Are we good?" Karen asks when she pulls away, hands still on Stewart's shoulders and nails gripping him far tighter than he's ever been comfortable with (and she knows this, she has to know this, he's said it so many times before, he—).
"No," he wants to scream. No, they're not good, how are they ever supposed to be good after this? Stewart isn't… he isn't strong enough to be good after this. Not when his sister clearly hates his guts.
But, "Yeah," he lies instead. "Yeah, we're good."
(the alien that boarded the ump cruiser goes missing, and things sort of devolve from there. stewart didn't think karen could hate him any more than she already did, but boy was he wrong)

Worm is on a mission. A very stupid, very deadly mission, one which has something to do with traveling through the feywilds. It's a suicide mission, plain and simple, although Worm isn't self-aware enough to realize it.
Luckily he has Pleg, his unwilling, unappreciated babysitter (adultsitter?) to protect him. Or maybe Worm will just get them both killed. Yeah, probably the latter.

Summary
Laszlo Cravensworth has been avoiding Colin Robinson since the latter reverted back to his adult form and forgot all memories of Laszlo raising him. It's too hard to look the energy vampire in the eyes and not see any sign of the child he knew looking back at him.
But Colin Robinson is starting to get pissed off, and he wants answers. And the more he asks, the more the memories start to resurface.

Brad gets sick. Naturally, David takes it upon himself to help his coworker out, but Brad Bakshi does not ask for help, nor does he accept it easily. But David is different. Unfortunately, David Brittlesbee is also incredibly arachnophobic, and Brad has lots of pets that give him panic attacks.
in other words: brad gets sick, has a mild crisis over it because he hates being sick, and david learns far more about brad than he was comfortable knowing. namely, about the presence of arachnids in the same apartment that brad sleeps in. but david stays anyway, because he cares about brad, so brad helps him overcome his arachnophobia in return (because really, it would suck a lot if david never came over to his apartment again. david's the only person brad actually likes. not that anyone ever has to know.)
