With his slender fingers, Aventurine ghosts his hand over Ratio’s, still splayed flat on the folders. Aventurine leans closer until the glint of his eyes meets Ratio’s and the soft fur around his shoulders brushes against the cutout on Ratio’s chest. Ratio stays silent as an arm snakes around his waist, pressing tight against the corset-like belt cinched against his middle.
“Would you like me to help you relax?” Aventurine purrs, trailing his fingers up the length of Ratio’s gloves to the soft, long flowing fabric of his sleeves. His other hand smooths down the dip of his waist, over his hip to tug him closer.

Summary
This close, Aventurine can make out the small flecks of gold scattered across Ratio’s iris, like a smattering of stars and constellations. She can even spot the tiny mole by the edge of her left eye, usually hidden behind the sweep of her bangs. The skin around Ratio’s eyes glimmer with a subtle sheen of glitter alongside her usual red eye makeup, courtesy of Aventurine’s begging. Ratio’s lips are a rosy shade of red, and the peek of tongue behind her lips makes the back of Aventurine’s neck feel hot.
“Ah,” Aventurine’s tone is mildly regretful as she looks from Ratio’s lips to her eyes, clicking her tongue in faux disappointment. “Your lipstick’s smudged.”
“No it isn’t,” Ratio denies immediately, her eyes flitting to the mirror behind Aventurine’s back. Her hands curl loosely against the smooth material of Aventurine’s dress, still careful not to wrinkle it. How sweet, Aventurine thinks.

The question comes out of nowhere and is so entirely uncharacteristic that Ratio misclicks a key as he’s typing up a report. He quickly fixes the mistake before waving the screen away with a flick of his wrist and fixing Aventurine a bewildered stare.

Stretched out across the bed, Ratio makes a sinful picture with the lines of sinuous muscle rippling when he moves and the slow smirk spreading on his face. Aventurine’s hands twitch, caught in the glow of Ratio’s eyes under the warm hotel lighting.
And how do you desire me? Aventurine doesn’t dare to ask, wary of the answer.

To think that there’s a gifted in this world who can transport others to a ‘Hell.’ Not even a particularly hellish hell. For all Akutagawa had experienced in his life, this is obnoxiously tame.
Pleasant, even, if he was to ignore the centaurs hunting him for sport and the fact that he’s kneeling in an open grave.
Still - if Akutagawa was given such an ability, he’d have no shortage of significantly more creative punishments for creatures as loathsome as himself.
Akutagawa goes to Hell. Atsushi follows. Neither return the same.

Only then did he let his eyes fall closed and sleep, comforted by the fact that if Feng Xin left, he would have to be woken first.
But this was now his biggest problem.

A story about Childhood Enemies, who become Teenage Rivals, who become Young Adult Friends, who become something more... but it is most definitely not a story about Love.
