Summary
Ren carries the memory of Akechi’s somehow cozy apartment with him as he goes to class and works at Leblanc and visits his friends. It burns like a coal in his heart, and he banks it up to blazing again and again. After all, what he saw in the apartment - those well-made, permanent things -tells him one thing. Everything in Akechi’s life is built to last. And from the hesitant way Akechi approaches him, he wants to build other things to last.
Ren returns to Tokyo for college. Goro Akechi finds him and they decide what they become next.

“Congratulations on getting nine out of ten questions correct! Without further ado, let’s move on to the last question..” Hanazawa paused for dramatic effect as the lights dimmed and the spotlights overhead honed in on their podiums.
“What is … your hero partner’s type?”
A brief silence.
“‘Type?’” Izuku questioned at the same time as Kacchan.
“Yes, type,” the host laughed. “Like, who would they date? What are they into?”
The blood drained from Izuku’s face and he shot a panicked look at Kacchan. The blond didn’t seem to be faring any better, his gaze zeroed in on Hanazawa as if he could will her to change the question to something else.
Izuku... didn't know the answer to that.

In order to increase their popularity rankings as up and coming pro heroes, Izuku and Katsuki participate in the most popular late night talk show for hero duos - ‘Heroes Rising!’. They’re killing it, obviously, because they know each other from inside and out. Until one question stumps the two of them: “What is your hero partner’s type?”

"You know what," Todoroki says suddenly. "I just thought of a way you can support me—besides buying my merchandise that, as we've discussed, I can get you for free."
Izuku huffs indignantly. "It's the principle of the matter! But I'm listening."
Todoroki takes Izuku's face in his hands, palms cupped against his cheeks. He bends down and presses his lips to Izuku's, in a kiss that's soft, barely there, and leaves Izuku's knees wobbling like jelly nonetheless.
"I prefer this," Todoroki murmurs.

Izuku runs into a jealous fan at a pro hero convention, but Shouto isn't about to let that ruin Izuku's day.
