Summary
The thing about his upbringing, Shoto thinks, is that it hasn't been exactly conventional. Not in the sense of his parents giving him a weird education at home (although they did), or that they are some sort of barbarians (although they are —well, mostly, anyway), but in that they failed to provide some much needed social interaction.
Still, he knows he hasn't been so poorly socialized as to offend Yaoyorozu on his first day of classes —or anyone, for that matter. Shoto has barely said a word, and that was "here" when his name was called on the roll. Still, there is no mistaking the cold look she throws him right before she takes a seat. He blinks right after, and it's gone, and she's smiling at Jiro all the way across the room, the picture of warmth.

Summary
It shouldn't have happened, what with her constant focus on her studies and work, but Momo finds herself throwing up red petals one night. She knows the symptoms, and she even knows who it is.
Todoroki Shouto, who has confided in her before that he believes he is incapable of love.
Given the options of either dying a slow and excruciating death to unrequited love or having the irreversible surgery that would remove all her feelings and memories related to him, Momo decides to take charge and forge a third path: try to woo Shouto within the time she has left before surgery is no longer an option.

“You are not at ease with me anymore,” he continued. “Openness once marked our relationship, allowing it to take shape so naturally over the years, but now you rebuke me at the slightest expression of it.”
He was speaking circles around her, failing to make sense. She could not deny things had changed, but his logic dizzied her. Or perhaps that was the warmth of his palm that had shifted down, cupping her neck, as his fingers wove softly into her hair.
