“I’m sorry,” says Feng Xin. He grabs onto Mu Qing's wrists to stop his movements because, frankly, he’d gotten a little bolder in pressing angrily against Feng Xin’s bruises and the slight pain is making Feng Xin dizzier than he already was. “I really am sorry, but I can’t have this talk right now. I don’t want to fight you tonight.”
For a moment it looks as if Mu Qing will snap at him, will respond with another jab painful enough that it could rival all of the combined real punches Feng Xin has endured earlier tonight, but instead he just says, “Your bandages are getting wet.”
(Or: Underground fighter Feng Xin comes home injured and Mu Qing takes care of him.)

Some evenings, Gojo would turn up at Megumi’s door with too wide a smile on his face, something fake, skin stretched too tight over his body, shoulders hunched all cagey, a wild look on his eyes as he played with his blindfold, snapping the elastics over and over. Gojo would ask him out for a meal and Megumi would say yes. Before the night was over, Gojo would teleport him to the penthouse suite he owned at downtown Tokyo, and Gojo would fuck Megumi against the wall, over the counter, in the sofa, in the bed; almost every flat, dry surface there had been christened.
Gojo wouldn’t take off his blindfold. Megumi wouldn’t make a sound. Or at least try not to. They wouldn’t kiss on the lips. They wouldn’t say each other’s name.
After whatever it was that was plaguing the Strongest had left, after the tension that was keeping his spine straight was gone, they would take a shower or a bath separately.
And then, only then, they would address each other.
