there's a few things that ricky has come to learn from the time he’s been spending around gyuvin for the past few weeks. he’s 20 years old, he’s technically a freshman but has enough credits to be a junior, he’s kinda adorable when he throws up, and most importantly: he’s not one to back down from a challenge.
so when kim taerae, known sadist, dares him to be a dog for the rest of the night, gyuvin easily settles into the role. as if it was made for him.
it’s cute—it’s absolutely fucking adorable until ricky can tell the alcohol really starts to hit him. there’s a reason he’s only seen gyuvin with caprisuns and sprite and it’s revealed to him in the form of his brightly flushed cheeks and teary eyes staring up at him.

gyuvin, 20 years old,impressively whipped and atrociously down bad for an omega who probably doesn’t even know he exists, makes the unfortunate choice to continue returning to the cafe. it’s not just because of the omega, alright? he’s got, like, studying and shit to do and the cafe is actually quite a nice spot to sit in for the day and sometimes taerae brings him free snacks!
ricky showing up every now and then at the table next to him is just an additional bonus.

gyuvin comes into the tiny cafe with an entire wall filled with syrups every monday, wednesday, and friday to grab a medium mango matcha latte with extra ice and soy milk. ricky, who only applied to this job because he was immediately entranced by the magical, color-coded syrup wall, happily takes his order, always asking for his name at the end only to write whatever the hell he wants on the cup.

there’s another scream, and another more guttural, and loud thunderous crashes everywhere, there’s no way to pinpoint anything. in seconds, everything turns into chaos. they hear the sound of glass shattering with violent, echoing crashes, doors slamming shut all around them.
gyuvin’s cymbal-banging monkey brain decides it’s the perfect time to address the lack of answer to his confession. because truly, he’s got nothing to lose at this point. he either dies by zombie or dies by rejection from ricky.
