He sounds so fond that Buck forgets to be offended.
“Well, is there?”
“Cuddle him,” Eddie answers. “He’ll let you know if there’s something he wants.”
“How?” Buck asks. “I don’t speak wolf, Eds.”
“You’ll understand him,” Eddie says. Like Buck is supposed to get what it means. He doesn’t, for the record. “You’ll be fine and if not, just call for me, okay? I’ll hear you.”
“Do you have super-hearing?”
“Ah, so he does have questions.”

“What the fuck is happening right now?” Buck asks, and Eddie shrugs.
“Are you high? What did you take?”
Eddie lets out an annoyed scoff, “Just because I am happy, I have to be high?”
“No, but this whole… Why are you in your underwear?”
“You walked in, and Old Time Rock and Roll was playing; I'm wearing a pink dress shirt, in my tighty whities, and you don’t know what’s going on?” Eddie asks.
“Am I supposed to?”
“Tom Cruise? Risky Business?”
“I don’t know what that is.” Buck rushes out.
Eddie faces palms, “Your lack of pop culture knowledge is killing me, Buckley.”

Summary
Buck made sure they were sitting together on the really comfy couch. Buck could see Eddie struggling in the dark, rubbing his eyes. Gently, he touched his arm. “Give me your beer,” he said, gentle.
“Greedy man,” mumbled Eddie.
“Did you sleep last night?”
He shook his head.
“And you’d just come off a shift. Eddie…”
“I can’t be rude.”
“You’re not,” he said. “I’ve got you. Promise.”
First, Eddie rested his head near his shoulder, not on it, but Buck reached down to trace the back of Eddie’s hand where no one could see, resting in between them. “It’s okay, I’ve got you,” he whispered softly when Eddie rested his head on his shoulder.
