It was... comfortable. Like nothing had changed, even though everything had.
A sentiment which also described the current state of their relationship rather well. Nothing had changed, and yet it felt different. Or was it just Edwin who felt different?
That distinction had become more and more difficult to make, especially over the past few weeks.

"I'm finished." Charles declares with a triumphant grin. He holds up A Collection Of Greek Myths as if it is something to be treasured and Edwin can't help but smile.
"I told you that you shouldn't."
"I know, I know. You said I would hate it."
"And?" Edwin inquires with the raise of a brow.
Charles' grin quickly dissolves into something solemn and thoughtful. "I absolutely hated it, mate."
Edwin hums in agreement. He supposed he didn't love the ending of Orpheus and Eurydice's tale either.
