Summary
When the rebels take hold of Panem and sentence Snow to his death, Effie is released from the Capitol jail and hospitalized for injuries and torture sustained from her time in imprisonment. She doesn’t prepare Katniss for Snow’s execution, nor does she send her victors off back to Twelve in a bittersweet farewell. Instead, she's being weaned off morphling and thrown back into post-war Panem with nothing but a deep ache for life after loss.
When it's revealed that Haymitch fought for Effie's pardon from Coin's murderous hand, Effie starts to realize the one person that could truly understand is none other than the drunk mentor wasting away in District Twelve
aka: The long, long journey Effie goes through to reconnect with her past and reclaim her future.
This follows Mockingjay canon up to the epilogue, and diverges from there. Basically, Effie gets the ending she deserves.

Summary
After the events of Double Life, Grian is ridden with guilt and remorse. He found it to be true after all, his curse of killing the ones he truly cared about, and he couldn't bear to live with it. So, when making a few compromises with the Void, Grian is thrown back into that ravine, watching Scar obliviously chase fairies, but this time it'll be different. This time, he gets a second chance to redo it all over again.
(AKA Grian is given a second chance to rewind to the start of Double Life and do everything right this time.)

Summary
The day after Scar breaks up with Grian, the dead come back to life. Knowing that venturing out alone is a death sentence, the sudden onset of the apocalypse forces them to stick together despite the tensions between them. In the wreckage of the world, they're forced to survive side-by-side, coming to terms with the fact that—try as they might—there's no one they trust more than each other.
“Go!” Grian shouts as the monster charges, putting his whole force into the blow.
Scar watches, frozen stiff as Grian fights until blood and gore and viscera mark the creature up like a Pollock painting.
“What are you waiting for?!” Grian snaps when he finally notices that Scar is still standing there. He grips his weapon tight and attacks a final time, slamming the zombie down—good and dead—and standing panting over top of it, strained but victorious. He starts rushing from the scene, calling back for Scar over his shoulder. “Run!”
And in a way that’s as familiar to him as breathing, Scar chases after him.

what a phenomenal fic. scar and grian are exes in the apocalypse, and catastrophe ensues! I’m not even joking this may be peak of all fics . the characterization, the drama, the angst, everything! even if you don’t know life series , check this out! the community this culminated and passion this breeds is absolutely crazy. scarian zombie au fic you will forever be famous to me!!

Doc is a very intelligent man who has never done anything wrong, ever.
Consequently, the fact that there is now a stranger in the middle of his lab, looking utterly disheveled and very confused, is absolutely not his fault. Neither is the smoking phone booth-like machine which the stranger has just stumbled out of. This is all going perfectly normal and according to plan.

Summary
Grian has been in love with Scar for years but just can't seem to bite the bullet and confess. (Un)luckily for him, the flowers that have started blooming from his wings whenever he's around Scar are now making the topic sort of impossible to avoid. Maybe if he just hides until whatever magical force that cause the flowers to sprout gives up on him, he'll make it through this whole thing unscathed?
