Where two rivals find out they may not be so different from one another and their journey to understanding, unity, serenity and eventually love.
First by hating, then by loving and finally understanding and helping one another find a place they both deserve. Just not in the same order.The story says OC but that only counts for some of the past event chapters. Eventually sticks to Rooster/Hangman.
Tags were updated as the story progressed in order to avoid spoilers, but no more. Canon characters have been added as the story progressed.
Starts pre-movie and continues on into Top Gun: Maverick and will move on beyond.Series

Summary
The war in Ishval is beginning to wind down. The State Alchemists sent in by Fuhrer King Bradley have done their job well. The Flame Alchemist has amassed a reputation of the bringer of death and destruction- surpassing even Solf Kimblee in pure destructive capabilities. In a few more months, the war will be declared won, and the soldiers sent home.
Alone on the outskirts of a deserted battlefield, Roy Mustang is caught in an explosion that would have been lethal if not for two things: the Flame Alchemist's quick reflexes, and a couple of doctors named Rockbell.
Hiding from the military, he returns with them to Resembool, where he meets two young boys and their mother; good friends of the Rockbells and new family for the disgraced alchemist. But the military isn't done with him yet, and the homunculi still need their sacrifices.Or... Roy gets injured and ends up in the Elric household while Ed and Al are still young. The combination is rather explosive.
