Summary
She chewed on her lip a bit, trying to decide the best way to go about this. The issue in itself was awkward, but other girls her age had mothers to talk to about this to alleviate the awkwardness, to normalize the issue. Haruka had only an Uncle Kaz. An Uncle Kaz tried his hardest to be the best parent he could, to take on the roles of a mother and father, but he was nowhere near perfect.
Eventually deciding that it would be best to rip off the bandaid to avoid any awkward follow-up questions, Haruka choked out,
“I got. My. Period. At school.”
Kiryu blinked at her dumbly for a second too long.
“Oh? Oh. Oh!”
