Summary
Charlie’s celebrating her hotel’s first real party, and her dad arrives looking breathtaking in an ivory satin dress with a plunging neckline, off-the-shoulder sheer sleeves, a feathered boa, long gloves, and pearls—classic old-Hollywood glamour that leaves everyone, especially her, impressed.
But when Alastor appears in a simple, red floor-length gown, looking far too attractive, Lucifer’s pride crumbles. Flustered, he storms off to the bathroom, hatches a mischievous plan, and returns transformed into a doe, prancing and teasing Alastor… until the demon loses his patience, teleporting them to his own quarters, glaring, huffing, and very, very hard.

Summary
Michael exchanges his soul for his brother's safety in a last-ditch bargain in the fog-engulfed bayou. He only asks that his brother, Lucifer, and his daughter, Charlie, be kept safe. Alastor, the Radio Demon, a creature with malicious intent, static, and a shadow with a smile too big to be believed, answers that call.
Bound by an unholy contract, Alastor observes from the periphery of Lucifer's "peaceful" existence as a single father managing an old toy store, fighting to survive under the weight of his depression and fatigue. However, what starts as a straightforward observation quickly turns into fascination. The demon, who used to eat souls for entertainment, is drawn to human frailty because of Lucifer's angelic looks, his soft voice, and his unwavering hope despite pain.
Protection becomes possession and love becomes peril. When Lucifer begins to notice the strange warmth hidden behind Alastor's smile, the human learns to his horror that love can be more damning than any curse.
