Matt grimaced but wasted no time shoving a mangled white plastic grocery bag at Foggy’s chest. It was heavy and squirming. “Promise you’ll get this somewhere safe,” he implored.
A tiny black kitten with enormous yellow eyes poked its head out of the bag. Karen openly stared. Not at the cat inside the bag; at Matt and Foggy.
“Are we literally rescuing kittens from trees now?” Foggy asked, almost incredulously.
Matt shook his head. “Not a tree. Dumpster.” He mimed ripping open the plastic bag, which explained the bag’s thin and stretched-out handles.
