“Oh no, are you okay?” a high-pitched voice asked. It sounded like a little girl.
“Yeah, I’m—” Hanako looked up at the person who had spoken.
Cream-colored hair curled just past her shoulders, the teal edges brushing against her yukata. Goldfish patterns adorned the fabric, swimming and twisting in different directions. A cute, chubby face with round, rosy cheeks were not nearly as incriminating as her eyes: huge and expressive, like twin garnets.
Eyes he knew too well.
“Yashiro …?” he breathed.

Frisk shook their head. “I...have somewhere to go” they said. *It isn’t technically a lie; I didn’t say that I had a family.* “I’m sure I’ll see you around sometime.” *Maybe.*
Frisk lives under a bridge and doesn't want to bother their new friends. They decide to never go see anyone because someone could ask questions, and that would be bad...wouldn't it?
Meanwhile, everyone else is looking for their human child in the striped sweater.
