My new favorite! On one hand, it is a sweet-sweet story of character developments and prejudices, with a show-not-tell kind of backstory.
On the other hand, it is an amazing, creative combination of different messaging media and format (including restaurant bills!!!! OMG), between multiple people. And so expertly done, that it is ALWAYS absolutely clear who is talking to whom, I mean, even the picture style is changes sometimes, to make it easier to follow!
It is full of humor, humanity and hope.
I was seriously disappointed that it had an end, it was so entertaining. -

Merlin is a goth, but he’s not a cynic. He believes in love and all that. Still, he can’t help but being just a tiny bit bitter that his best friend is living the lesbian uHaul fantasy while he’s nursing a seven-month dry spell and tendonitis in both his wrists.
And then, of course, there’s the metaphorical cherry on the metaphorical cake. Arthur fucking Pendragon and his fat ass and terrible tattoos.

Oh god, this is just so delicious! Unsecure, ‘coming out because of Merlin’ Arthur and very competent, but ‘making exceptions to Arthur’ Merlin. Lovely dynamics, amazing dialogues.
And with the wonderful nostalgy of the old times Merlin fanfics :D -
