Marinette groaned: their class was going to do a musical, RENT, and Chloé was gushing over it. ‘Anything that made Chloé happy was probably unwelcome news for Marinette.’ Sure enough, Chloé was talking about how two of the main characters, Mimi and Roger, fall in love and Chloé wanted Adrien to be the Roger to her Mimi.
How does a class musical turn into an identity reveal? Emotional shenanigans of course.
Yet another old piece I never posted. Other than cleanup it hasn't been touched since then, so by current Season 6 standards they are all going to seem a little OOC.

Summary
Adrien's day goes from bad to worse dealing with his father, then being rejected by Ladybug. Hawkmoth takes advantage of the opportunity for a very powerful akuma, and the Miraculous Team deals with the fallout.
Inspired by Art of Rhues Miraculous animatic from 2018. I recently found this old piece written up so I figured I would share.
I wrote this back in 2018 or 2019 before I had any accounts to share it on and before we got several other seasons of the show so they might seem OOC even for emotionally impulsive teenagers. Other than cleanup it hasn't been touched since then. Chapter 5 is the animatic, everything else is lead up to it.

Summary
When Scott Hunter ventured out on his balcony after the 2011 All Star Game, he only wanted to get some air. He didn't expect to overhear a couple of rookies having sex. He definitely didn't anticipate hearing his own name. But when Hollander catches him eavesdropping, Scott does the upstanding thing and offers his phone number in case the younger men ever have questions about being closeted hockey players. It's the least he can do, right? Anyway, he'll probably never get a text back.

Oh my god, I didn't know there were any copies of this left on the internet. For those who don't know, this is like. This is a foundational text of hockey RPF. This is from before hockey RPF was really a thing even. It's from the mid-aughts and wasn't posted to a fanfiction website. Instead, OP dropped this insane RPF manifesto onto a normal ass hockey fan forum (which no longer exists) then deleted their account like two days later. Just handed this to a bunch of jocks and hockey bros and dipped. Legendary shit. Like, I don't think this kid even knew what fanfiction was, the fucking hand of god just compelled him to write about being an MLH player's sex slave and show it to the world. I pray every day that this insane child actually made it to the MLH and got to meet Scott Hunter.
So maybe Shane had a little crush on Scott Hunter in his younger years. So maybe he anonymously posted online about it once. So maybe it had become an internet legend and a running joke in the MLH.

Shane’s anxiety takes a quick backseat to annoyance once more, at being handled like a child instead of a grown man, like he hasn’t been doing this just as long as Ilya, like he needs someone to tell him when to take a break.
Like he deserved to have everything taken away from him because he couldn’t handle it to start with.
“I’m fine,” he says, voice icy.
The step he takes away is too big, farther than he meant to get from Ilya’s side, and the air between them feels both charged and icy.
He isn’t quite bold enough to try and fix it.

“It’s-it’s complicated.” He catches the present tense too fucking late to do anything about it, and he barely resists the urge to either groan or slip forward to start beating his head against the coffee table.
Fuck his fucking life.
“You’re still…seeing this person?” His mom asks, and the amount of control he can hear her exerting is almost painful. “Who is-”
“Yuna,” his dad cuts in, voice quiet, “maybe give him a second, yeah?”
Yeah, Shane agrees in his head. Give him a second.
Maybe give him a decade while they’re at it.
(when shane's old fake id falls out of his wallet around his parents, he has to explain that it was to book hotel rooms before he was 21)

Summary
The soundproofing in room 1221 is exactly as bad as Shane fears. He and Rozanov can hear every word as Scott Hunter engages in a deeply depressing annual ritual, and decide offering comfort is more important than keeping things a secret.
