Sunny has just finished the penultimate level of the retro video game he's playing when something brushes against his left foot. At first he hardly even notices it, too pumped up from the boss fight, but when the thing—whatever it is—curls around his ankle and starts to pull at it gently but insistently, the video game-induced hyperfocus finally shatters and Sunny glances down.
