Letting go of her cigarettes, Nat lowers her clutch back down to her side, and steps away from the bar of the door. “What are you talking about? Adam is dead.”
Misty wrinkles her nose and shakes her head. “Well, yeah,” she scoffs, a soft smile starting to spread. “But Adam couldn’t have done it.”

Summary
Agent Elizabeth Ashe, former leader of the Deadlock Rebels, was abducted along with B.O.B by Overwatch agents six years ago. Forced to decide between joining their covert ops task force or a life of imprisonment, she became a member of Blackwatch until its disbandment, leaving her previous partner in crime Cole Cassidy to commit a string of successful heists throughout the American Midwest. Ashe still believes that Overwatch can do good, but it’s difficult to remain positive now that all of her former team members are either dead or disavowed and a certain vengeful cowboy is gunning for her head.
Amélie Lacroix, former wife of Overwatch agent Gerard Lacroix, has been missing since he was murdered eight months ago. She, along with Commander Reyes, are presumed to have been killed in the wake of the Blackwatch scandal, but Ashe knows that her past is never so merciful as to stay where it belongs. A coward is always haunted by more than one mistake.
