Summary
Anastasia Ro'meave's world came crashing down when she was fourteen.
Now, seventeen-year-old Annie Ro'meave is left with her family in ruins. Vylad is dead, Garroth is on the run, and Zane is on a power trip enabled by her father. Annie's situation only becomes more dire when faced with a looming engagement to a neighboring lord's son to try and reestablish the Ro'meave family line. But when Zane offers her a coveted spot among the Jury of Nine, a guild of the strongest warriors in the region, she finds her way out. As she allies herself with a few of her fellow members, she unravels just how much of the power has gone to her brother's head. With threats looming and no way out, Annie must resign herself to do the unthinkable to survive.

Mumbo's got the whole "leader of the villains" package: a super powerful ability, lots of influence, a rising rebellion... Oh dear. He's probably going to have to deal with that last one, isn't he?
