What happens after the hero saves the day? Usually A'chago just waits for another catastrophe, but that doesn't seem like that'll be the case anymore. Now he's saddled with a shit ton of PTSD, too much free time on his hands, and absolutely no idea what to do...but he'll make it work. There's only one way up from here.

Summary
The truth is; Raha is different when faced with the mantle of leadership. And though you still cannot put your finger on why it is, you are hot and bothered by this change. Enough to want to observe him for just a fraction of the time he has watched you. A little taste of him, when he is pressed to make executive decisions.

#FFXIVWrite2021 collection - Table of Contents in Ch. 1
day #29 Abstracted (noun), 1. : withdrawn in mind : inattentive to one's surroundings
It was raspy and hoarse at first, but with each word it grew into velvet. Memories and reflections of what he had been before the Tower doors shut between them and yet - when the tears tangled in her lashes and spilled onto her cheeks; when she threw herself upon him, tucked tight into the embrace of his waiting arms, his laugh was just as it always was. What it had been. What it was.
Her Raha.
Kalea waits for him to wake up on the Source.

Summary
“G’raha Tia,” she says, rolling every syllable of his name on her tongue like one would taste wine, slow and deliberate. “A pleasure, then.”
She offers him her hand. Slender, elegant fingers peek out of her half glove, a writer’s callus prominent on her middle finger. G’raha beams, as radiant as the sunlight cast over the crystals surrounding them, and takes it.
Much later, as he looked back and realized he had not fallen in love, but slowly and surely descended into it, he’d be able to point out the smile she offered him that day as the first step down.
Through (a hundred and) five years apart, G'raha Tia and the Warrior of Light find that happy endings do not come without sacrifice.
A Crystal Tower and Shadowbringers retelling.

Summary
G’raha remembered her at the faculty start-of-the-semester party: a queen holding court; her hair sluicing over her left shoulder in a violet waterfall -- a lovely Viera who easily attracted the attention of everyone in the room and addressed each of her admirers with grace and wit.
He was a new hire, fresh out of his doctoral program at Sharlayan University, and he had long been an admirer of her work in both historical analysis and educational theory. So he had marched right up to her and introduced himself with gusto.
“G’raha Tia, at your service. I will be teaching the introductory history courses this semester. It is an honor to make your acquaintance, Dr. Meteor."

Summary
"You are using G'raha's past show of affection and vulnerability as a shield for your own fear of not living up to expectations and getting hurt. Tis weak, dear, and doesn't suit you."
Ouch.
"That was mean. The First made you mean."
"I actually think Runar softened me up quite a bit. Before I would've just said you are a whiny little bitch, that does not think you will be able to rise to the occasion in the sack."
OUCH.
***
The Warrior of Light is in love with G'raha. This is clear to everyone. They just need to actually tell him.

Summary
"I think the Warrior of Light is avoiding me." Silence follows that has G'raha instantly regretting what was said, as it hangs in the air like a slow moving fog. It's a few moments before anyone speaks, and when they do, it's not what G'raha is expecting.
"Wait, art thou serious?" Urianger asks, with a tone of genuine surprise.
"We honestly thought that was an act."
*
G'raha has been settling back into his old body, his old world, and his new role quite nicely.
Except that's a lie, and the Warrior of Light is avoiding him, and he REALLY needs a drink.

Summary
G’raha lowers his staff, his ears twitching. “My friend, what are you doing on my balcony?”
“Well,” she says, flustered, “I, uh, didn’t know this was your balcony. Or anyone’s balcony, for that matter.”
He shakes his head, a fond smile stretching across his face. He tilts his head toward her needle and thread. “Do you often weave fabric in high places?”
OR
The WoL frequently uses Mor Dhona's balconies as impromptu crafting workshops. G'raha Tia does not know this until she, unknowingly, decides to use his.
