Summary
You had seen him one time before - only once had you seen the man who had brought misfortune into your life. When you had first laid eyes on him you had vowed to be no part of his life nor did you wish to be involved with him, but evidently he had other plans.
He was a demon, a devil in disguise and, above all else, he was dangerous. He knew things about you that you did not even know about yourself and he pulled those things forward - whether you wanted him to or not.
He was mounting for war and was going to drag you down into his villainous schemes - into the underworld of despair. Into his dark and deadly world because that was where you belonged - wasn't it?

Summary
Locals regarded the forest with distaste and fear. It was a dangerous place that had swallowed people whole or spat them out broken and deranged. Many stories were told of the forest and many rumors surrounded the constantly foggy place, but none of the snatched whispers and vague tales were in any way good. They spoke of demons and ghosts and myths and tragedies. They spoke of a king of the trees who wore a cloak black as night with eyes that burned red in the darkness. There had been many accounts of sightings of the demon prince who lurked between the trees.
When Hux is pulled to a small town to solve a string of murder mysteries that are steeped in odd happenings he doesn't expect to enjoy himself. And much to his expectations he doesn't.
Rather he finds the case most perplexingly illogical, meets a man named Ben Solo, and has a run in with a demon.

Summary
Skywalkers are good at many things, but one thing they aren't particularly good at is love. That is to say, when it comes to romantic relationships Skywalkers always seem to mess them up, and Ben Solo -- otherwise known as Kylo Ren -- is no exception to this particular Skywalker skill.
Good thing he definitely isn't in love with Brendol Hux II, the fiery haired accounting major who turns out to be a new hire at the bookstore cafe where Kylo works. It's probably also a good thing they are always at each other's throats because it's not like Kylo is in love with the slim man. No siree. He promises he doesn't check the ginger man out on a daily basis, why would he? And he totally doesn't struggle at showing his affection; the great Kylo Ren is perfectly good at showing his affection, right?
It's definitely also a good thing they are roommates and cannot seem to escape each other's presence.

"Darkness and order,
Together we could be unbeatable"Hux and Kylo Ren are polar opposites. It is a simple fact known to most that work alongside them and Hux has long since come to terms with this observation. All he ever needed to do was tolerate Kylo for the brief minutes or hours they spent together and when you command a starship the size of a city state it was easy to escape the presence of the hulking man. It's harder to avoid him when you are both on a cramped ship sent across the galaxy to hell knows where on the orders of the Supreme Leader.
Being sent on intelligence gathering missions with the volatile Knight of Ren was never a career option Hux would've imagined himself accepting, but then again he never would have imagined his life's work would explode into space dust. So now Hux must work alongside the annoying Knight day in and day out and all the while he cannot help but ponder: how the hell did he end up in a situation like this?

He knew that the shields were failing, he knew his TIE squadrons were decimated, he knew they were losing, he knew. He was beyond frustrated, beyond frantic, and beyond his limit. Only the faint flicker of exhaustion haunted him now as he stood as an ever present statue on the Finalizer’s bridge. There was only one solution to this mess and he knew it. His mind examined the solution he had concocted thoroughly and came to the firm conclusion that this was the only way.
