Maybe so. Most definitely so. Odysseus did not have the means to deny it.
“Fight me,” he said again, his chest heaving with breath that felt insufficient, drawing in salt and sweat and the tang of blood.
Zeus seemed to consider this for a moment—though Odysseus feared he’d made his decision on what to do with him the moment golden blood had been spilled. The gods were petty, grudge-holding folk, and Odysseus had already stirred up enough trouble to warrant a thousand divine punishments. He had nothing to gain. He knew this. And yet, when making the choice between giving in and fighting until he couldn’t anymore, there was not a part of him that was willing to go gently to his end.
“Very well,” said the Lord of storm and thunder and crushed Odysseus in his palm.

Somehow, Yukine never truly believed Hiyori would forget or Yato might disappear. But by the time he finds the notebook hidden beneath the floorboards, it's already too late. Somehow it hurts even more to find all these pieces of Yato when he's not coming back.
