She’s resting, body exhausted from working through the poison. Just hours ago, she had woken up from the medication-induced coma that she’d fallen into. Just hours ago, Makoto had run up to her, tears in his eyes and her blood still stained on his palm, and held her so tightly she’d had to step back to steady herself. He doesn’t think he’s ever cried that hard.
Now, tear ducts dry and head aching, he latches onto the knowledge that she is alive like it’s his own lifeline. As much hope as he has within himself, he’s unsure if he could live without his love.

Makoto blinks at her for a moment, eyes heavy with sleep. "Kyoko?" He's wearing pajamas, which for him are gray sweatpants and an enormous white tank top with a sports logo on it. His hair is even more unruly than usual, flat on one side and sticking up wildly on the other, in the manner of someone who went to sleep with wet hair. "D'you - did you need me for something?"
It's - it's a little cute. Kyoko acknowledges the thought and then puts it aside as irrelevant. She keeps her face as expressionless as she can when she says, "Byakuya has my room key. Can I stay in your room tonight?"

Yuuji is a tough guy, he thinks. A decent, reasonable, quantifiably tough guy. He goes to the gym six days a week, he eats relatively well, he drinks his water, and gets a mediocre amount of sleep. His brother says he’s a freak of nature, just one big ball of muscle. There isn’t much he can’t or wouldn’t take on headfirst. He thinks he has a decent footing in labeling himself as pretty tough.
All of that to say that the mere sight of his poor, poor Megumi sick in bed is enough to bring him to his knees.
