Aizen fell completely. His body collapsed heavily, his head hitting the floor once more, and the blood continued to spread — a dark, glistening pool growing under the lantern light, slowly absorbed by the tatami fabric.
Gin didn't blink.
He stood still. Motionless. The cup still in his hand. His chest rising and falling. Aizen's body convulsed for a few more seconds — grotesque spasms, legs twisting, fingers clawing at the tatami — and then stopped.
Silence.
The most absolute silence Gin had ever heard in his entire life.
Aizen Sousuke was dead.
Gin sank to his knees. His legs simply couldn't hold him anymore.

This is not a light high-school AU. This is what happens when the soul reapers trade their swords for suits and the underworld refuses to let anyone stay clean.
The tone will be noir with romantic and dramatic threads. Some chapters will hurt. Some will heal. Some will make you angry. That’s intentional.
