“W-what are those?” Izuku asks. He steps closer and Shouto shakes his head.
“Nothing. They’re nothing. Leave it.” Izuku notices the grip he has on his shirt is tight.
“Todoroki, please don’t lie to me. How did you get those burn marks?” His mind is running wild, going over every scenario he can but it always settles on one.
“I can't tell you. I can’t. Please, just pretend you didn’t see them.” Shouto turns again and Izuku can’t pretend he hasn’t seen them because he’s looking right at them and these ones look fresh. They look irritated and sore. A fucking handprint. That’s what the shape is. Izuku feels sick suddenly. He watches Shouto pull out a shirt from his drawers and tug it on. Watches him wince as the fabric torches the burns.
