“You do it all the time! That big brain of yours, there’s a lot in there you know? Very useful, it’s got a good outer shell as well.” The Doctor teases, offering Yaz a lopsided smirk.

And yet, she couldn’t stop her thoughts from drifting to Santos every so often. She realized one day, as Santos smiled at her after Baran had told her she’d done an excellent job working a trauma, that she didn’t want Santos’s respect, she wanted Santos to like her.
That thought was dangerous.
