....Aziraphale looked all around him as if searching for someone who may be watching before he timidly opened the door and peaked in. He wasn't sure what to expect. Crowley could be sitting somewhere or pruning his plants. He could be suspended upside down from the ceiling, or attached to the wall, or in his bed - any of his preferred sleeping methods. Instead, a walk through the foyer brought him to Crowley, dressed for the day, sans jacket, laying on his marble desk, a near empty bottle of whiskey balanced in his hand atop his belly. Another very empty bottle of whiskey teetered near the edge of the desk.

Summary
Four months after returning to Heaven, Aziraphale is set on the trail of another mystery after being handed a file on what Crowley has been doing since the pair parted ways. Something is wrong with the demon; by all appearances, he’s lost control, and it only seems to be getting worse.
Aziraphale immediately goes back down to Earth to help, but quickly realises that the situation is more complicated than it seems. Everything he learns about Crowley makes less and less sense, and on top of that, he also has to contend with the machinations of higher (and lower) powers.This was first written two years ago, after the release of Season 2. I’m a different person now than I was back then, so if it seems like it was written by two people, that’s kind of the case.
