to be fair, jiwoong did kind of bring it upon himself, but he knew that there would be space for a few seniors to continue to live on campus, and he's always been a very good tenant and dorm user. he may or may not have gaslighted the dean into letting him stay on campus. (she did have one condition though, and that was, of course, to move into one of the less populous dorms to make space for the incoming freshmen and the remaining sophomores. he was fine with that, but now he's having doubts. you can't blame him though.)
letting out another sigh, he glances upward at the current flight of stairs he has to tackle.
it's going to be a long day.

(it's totally not like matthew is aware of his feelings getting in the way of their job. feelings? what feelings? matthew doesn't do feelings, period. besides, they can't risk it, so slowly avoiding jiwoong more and more has become his life's mantra. although he doesn't like it, it'll save both of them from having to deal with embarrassing situations in the near future.)
in the meantime, he finds various ways to tire himself out each night, whether it be staying up late to study korean, practicing singing in the bathroom (quietly, to not wake up any of the members), or attempting to dance in the living room without knocking anything over, anything and everything is better than having to face jiwoong after the third time said male had cornered him after everyone else went to bed and nearly bit off his bottom lip. he usually returns to their room long after jiwoong's fallen asleep to sneak into bed and sleep his problems away. (it doesn't work)

in which matthew realizes he's falling head over heels for jiwoong and thinks that avoiding him is the only way to rid his intruding feelings. if only he knew.

he can't meet his hyung's eyes. "hyung," hanbin whispers into the space between them. "can i kiss you?"
