Summary
Ellie has always known to Nick to shoulder things alone, to insist on keeping others out of his problems and solve them himself, even when he was so clearly hurting. When that seems to happen again after their long trip to Far Harbor, and true to his normal fashion, he doesn't say a word of what happened there, Ellie sets out to try to find out just what took place in the vacation state.
She won't, instead uncovering something else he'd been hiding entirely, but at least they get some family therapy out of the whole ordeal.
Takes place after my Nick/Danse Far Harbor fic "Hardwired".
