Okkotsu finally puts the paper down. His eyes look empty, devoid of any light or warmth. "So," he taps the paper. "You want me to get engaged to you to break off your upcoming engagement?"
Toge nods tightly. His very life is a stake here, and he can't mess this up. If he continues on this path, he'll be subjected to a life of misery until he's murdered by his so-called future husband, and he refuses to live like that.
Transmigrated into a game he's familiar with, Toge does everything he can to survive his approaching death flag - in this case, it means getting engaged to the most eligible bachelor in the kingdom.

Yuuta was sleep-deprived, hopelessly in love, had a migraine from no coffee again this morning, and his feet were taking him somewhere dangerous. But he was past the point of caring now, fueled by feelings that were giddy upon being freed, recklessly cheering him on with every step he took through the rain.
Back to Toge.
After being gone for months, Yuuta returns home to a flooded apartment. With nowhere else to go, he turns back to the boy he'd kissed one desperate night, then ran away from. The boy he so foolishly loves, even still.
Maybe, after all this time, those feelings aren't so one-sided.

“They’re, um. Your eyes are... prettier than the stars. And your hair—it’s like starlight. You look like you’re made of starlight.”
Arranged marriage, but make it a series of drunken confessions.
OR: Five times the Prince and his arranged fiancé got drunk and confessed to each other, and the one time they were sober.

Toge smiles. “See you.”
Yuuta gives him a quick grin back before leaving the room. The moment he’s gone Ema and Airi giggle to themselves, making Toge give them a look.
“What’s so funny?”
“Sensei,” Ema begins, eyes bright, “It’s so obvious that Okkotsu-sensei is deeply in love with you.”
(or: Yuuta and Toge's students at Jujutsu High are convinced that the two of them are into each other. They decide to do something about it)

The trainer nods. “I see, that makes sense,” she comments. “He’s the youngest on the baseball team, and his teammates are extremely protective of him because of that. I was surprised he had a boyfriend, much less an older alpha one at that.”
Yuuta tenses a bit. “Just how overprotective are we talking here?”
“Maki, the captain, takes good care of Toge; she rarely lets him out of her sight most days,” the trainer explains. “The co-captain, Nobara, might be worse; she really cares about him, not to mention the rest of the teammates.”
Yuuta nods as he listens to the trainer. Surely, these teammates cannot be that overprotective of Toge. This is university after all, so he wants to be optimistic given that Toge is the first person who has managed to get his attention.
or, yuuta is determined to date toge, even if means having to win the approval of toge's upperclassmen.

She walked up to the couple, glancing at Yuuta. “Don’t mess it up, loverboy,” she chided. Maki may tease him, but it had no discernible bite to it, especially given the proud look she wore on her face. She smiled as she placed a wicker-woven basket full of fresh red and white flowers of varying types on the altar.
