She slid into place and let the thermos touch the table in front of her, pushing it over into Joker’s hand. Red gloves curled around it, the beautiful crowd of curls bouncing as they turned, and she was met with a much softer smile than what she knew Joker to wear in the metaverse.
“Thanks Crow—” She turned away just as quick, with that turn the triumph she felt for her interruption was near overwhelming. The burning subsided to near nothing. To pull Joker's eyes onto her and only her for just a moment— it was electrifying.

The week that lead up to November 20th was a tumultuous one for Goro Akechi.
Every night before the illustrious Joker's death Goro couldn't help but spend the dwindling time in her company. Each night preceding the death of their relationship was fraught with stolen kisses and unspoken feelings. Each stolen kiss burned away at her resolve while she plotted how she’d put a bullet through her rival's brain.
She hated everything about Ren.

For a moment, Ren just holds his stare. Stupidly, Goro feels embarrassed, and then embarrassed for feeling embarrassed, and angry he’s doing this at all, playing this stupid fucking game that Ren probably, probably already knows all about. But maybe this time Ren will finally fucking— “Hm,” they say, which could mean anything, but then they smile, small and sincere. “I like you a lot too, Akechi.”
Goro wants to scream.
///OR: Akechi has BPD. Akechi has an FP. Akechi wants to tell Ren his feelings. So he does. Again. And again. And - at this point, it's a matter of pride.
