With their bookbags bundled over their shoulders as they make their way to Ga’ming’s for revision for the finals coming up the next day, Chongyun says something from the back of the crowd about buying some boba to stave off the heat, and while he tries to shoo them away, signaling that he’d catch up to them later, they all end up crowding around the stand and ordering something.
Out here, most of them are already sweating bullets. Freminet in particular is muttering something about jumping in the canal to cool off; Xingqiu points out there are probably a few dozen species of brain-eating amoebas in there.

Lyney hid behind his menu, flustered by how quickly he agreed.
