It's quite a surprise when he learns the customer is Clownpierce, reputedly the most dangerous man in the city. And in a twist of events, he hires Branzy. Branzy nodded thoughtfully, turning back to the machine. That makes sense then. He’s never been the best businessman—Rek was the expert on that normally. And—

Clown blinked innocently.
He stared at Clown for a moment more, before abruptly turning back to the machine. Branzy poked around in the mechanical guts, trying to keep his heart from picking up speed. Had Clown been … he couldn’t have been. Could he? Was he flirting?

He stood out to Flux because he looked gentle.
A perpetually serene look that clashed heavily with his Luminaran armor and diamond sword. Matched with snowy white hair, pale skin, and warm grey eyes. He looked more like an angel than a soldier.
Flux sometimes felt his eyes wander to that guard on their breaks. Watching him explore their nest of tunnels, watching him kindly unwrap lunch packs for older miners like he was Mother-fucking Teresa.
