Uraraka paused in her training, releasing the three-ton metal block, sick. She was at her limit again, but how could she push past it?
She opened her water bottle and took long, refreshing drinks, pausing when she heard Midoriya and Bakugou’s voices raise.
Uraraka had had a huge crush on Midoriya for the longest time, but she never confessed and decided to focus on training, so it went away with time.
Bakugou was a person she did not like very much, but held a great respect for. He was strong, powerful, and smart on top of that, but his personality...
Yet, Midoriya always hung around him. To think that he never gave up on Bakugou, even though he was bullied because of it from childhood to middle school, was a very admirable and stupid personality trait.
Loyal to a fault, huh, she thought, watching the two boys nearby bicker, their language all but esoteric as they taunted and mocked one another.
It was more like flirting than anything else, but the way they did so was certainly more violent than what normal people do and would drive almost anyone else away. On top of that, they’re both as dense as a rock, so there goes the hope of them getting together without help any time soon.
Well, might as well watch, Uraraka thought as she sat down to ease her nausea.
The rivals circled around one another, green lightning crackling on Midoriya’s skin and little orange pops coming from Bakugou’s palms. They were both glaring at one another as they moved, probably assessing each little movement their faces made.
Then, Midoriya charged, surprising Uraraka. She stared, entranced, as a dance began between the boys, elegant yet chaotic at the same time. Bakugou dodged effortlessly and used his quirk to further distance himself from Midoriya.
“Is that all you got, nerd?” he yelled, his tone taunting.
Said “nerd” had jumped through the smoke created in the aftermath of the explosion and led with a heel pelting down at Bakugou. “Nope!” came the cheerful chirp, yet the tone was strangely serious. He quickly got out of the way and Midoriya rolled to soften his descent.
They composed themselves and circled each other once more, the only difference being that they were both breathing a little harder than before.
“You gotta try harder than that to get me,” Bakugou smirked dangerously, canines peeking. Midoriya squared up and his face became coy and flirty, reminding Uraraka of a cat.
“Oh,” he replied, “I will, later.” The implication hung in the air, the sexual tension very much evident. Uraraka stood up and walked away slowly, not wanting to draw attention to herself, not wanting to renew her nausea.
She was over Midoriya, but she did not want to see a make out happening. She wasn’t much for public PDA.
Uraraka turned back to the three-ton block and huffed a laugh, shaking her head at herself. Maybe the knuckleheads will get together without help, after all.
