Peter Parker Meets... Steve!!

Summary:

Peter is done™️ with Steve. He does not wanna deal with him...

Work Text:

Peter had actually seen the video from Siberia. The one where Tony got beat to hell and Steve just up and left him. Of course the rogues had been pardoned and been made to live at the compound. But that didn't change Peter's feelings on the man, Steve was as good as the garbage on the bottom of Peter's shoes.

Peter, of course though, was going to run into him at some time though. And it seemed that today was going to be the day.

He had stayed out late the previous night, to watch May in case she woke up. The doctors were saying that she might not wake up, but Peter didn't want to believe them. The late night had made Peter groggier than normal the next morning.

Peter stumbled into the community kitchen on the Avengers level. The people that stayed on Tony's personal floor were currently unable to use the kitchen due to a certain mishap with a toaster…

Peter walked into the kitchen and saw the one person he was not ready for that morning. Steve - Fucking - Rodgers.

The older man side eyed the teen as he passed, confused as to why he was there. But rather than actually acknowledging the man, Peter went straight to the coffee pot.

"Hey kid, uhm I think you're on the wrong level…" Mr. America said with a note of uncertainty in his voice.

"Nope, I'm meant to be here." Was the emotionless reply Peter gave him.

"Okay… Well, I don't think you should be drinking coffee at your age." Steve curtly stated, he gave Peter a look that looked like he was judging the boys' entire life choices.

"And I don't think you should be here. We all have options Mr. Rogers, but you don't see me randomly stating useless ones do you?" Peter glared at the man, then took a large swig of the hot drink for emphasis.

"Excuse me son, but I think you should at least respect your elders." America's soldier boy seemed to be angry now.

"And I think you shouldn't beat your best friend half to death, leave him in Siberia, and then waltz back into his house like nothing happened afterwards. But then again, you don't seem to think the same." Peter sasser the man back. He topped off his coffee, then went to leave the room, no longer hungry.

Before leaving though, he stopped in the doorway.

The teen slowly turned to the star struck man, a fierce glare on his face.

"One more thing, never call me 'son' again." And then left the man in the community kitchen with his mouth hanging open.
