“Hey, guys. What’s going on?” Buck asked, walking into the station for his shift.
Bobby and Athena were by the stairs.
“Well,” Bobby started. “Apparently Athena needs someone to go undercover and do a British accent.”
“I’ve asked everyone at the station and no one can do a convincing British accent.” Athena said, not pleased. “You’re my last resort.” Athena said, sighing, figuring no one at the station could do an accent and her case was lost.
“I can do a British accent.” Buck said, smiling.
Bobby and Athena looked skeptically at him.
“I can.” Buck said, defensively.
“All right.” Athena put her hand out. “Prove it.” She said, sighing, waiting for the disaster presented before her to happen.
“Fine. I told you I can do a British accent.” Buck said in a British accent.
Bobby and Athena’s eyes widened in shock.
“I told you.” Buck said, back in his American accent.
Chimney, Hen, and Eddie chose that moment to walk into the station for their shifts.
“Hey guys, what’s going on?” Chimney asked.
“Yeah. Why are you guys looking at Buck like that?” Eddie asked.
“What they said.” Hen said.
“Apparently, Buck can do a believable British accent.” Athena said, still in disbelief.
“No way.” Chimney said.
“For real?” Eddie asked.
“Really?” Hen asked.
Everyone was looking at Buck.
“Yes!” Buck huffed. “I can do a British accent.” He said in a British accent.
Chimney’s, Hen’s, and Eddie’s eyes widened.
“Told you.” Bobby said.
“Mm hmm.” Athena said.
Chimney blinked. “Wow.”
“Damn.” Hen said.
“That’s uh - That’s really good Buck. I didn’t know you could do that.” Eddie said.
“Thanks. And yeah, I picked it up.” Buck said, proud of himself and back in his American accent.
“Are you okay with going undercover for a day?” Athena asked Buck.
“Yeah!” Buck said, grinning. “That is, if it’s okay with Bobby if I take a shift off?” Buck asked, looking at Bobby.
“Yes. It’s fine. Just no heroics, okay.” Bobby said, sternly.
“Got it, boss.” Buck said, nodding.
“Be safe.” Bobby said to Athena and Buck. Athena smiled and her and Bobby kissed.
“Let’s go get you filled in on what you need to know about the case.” Athena said, walking out of the station with Buck, toward her car.
Everyone watched them go.
“That was -“ Hen started.
“Hot.” Eddie said.
Everyone turned to Eddie who looked flustered.
“I mean, British accents. Am I right?” Eddie stuttered.
“Yeah. British accents.” Chimney deadpanned.
“Definitely the British accent.” Hen said, slyly.
She then turned to Chimney and whispered “Though that accent was damn fine.”
“Oh, yeah.” Chimney whispered back, agreeing.
“He definitely knows how to do a believable British accent.” Bobby said.
Everyone nodded and headed toward the kitchen.
