When Infiltrating an Airship Goes Wrong

Summary:

All Henry Stickmin had to do was infiltrate an Airship and gather evidence. What he wasn't expecting was it being so cold, or his old high school friend being a vampire.

Chapter Text

Henry Stickmin never thought he would be hurled at a giant red airship, but here he was. Some captain named Galeforce "recruited" him to find evidence that would put away some criminal organization called the Toppat Clan. And in exchange, Henry would get a full pardon for his past thievery and other crimes. So Henry accepted the deal and soon was launched from a canon underneath the helicopter that they were in. Why the helicopter has a human launching canon, Henry did not want to find out.

Henry landed on some outside stairs of the Airship, and soon followed them into a door that led into some prison or holding section. The biggest thing Henry noticed that it was eerily cold inside and it smelled really weird. Though Henry ignored all that after seeing someone in one of the holding cells. That someone was the police officer with the jerk officer, Rupert Price, back at the old prison. Henry quickly got the door opened and got in contact with the helicopter pilot named Charles thanks to the earpiece in his ear. Charles had come up with a crazy plan that involved Henry shoving the poor man off the outside stairs of the Airship. Luckily for Henry and the man named Dave Panpa, Charles' planned worked and Dave was safely in the Government helicopter.

Captain Galeforce wanted Henry to continue with the mission still, knowing that more evidence would help bring down the Toppats. So Henry quietly snuck into the much colder vents and started his trek towards anything that could be evidence. Charles could normally scan a vehicle and get a basic map, but for the oddest reason, he couldn't do that with the Toppat Airship. So Henry was in the dark on where to go on this odd Airship.

Henry crawled past a room which seemed to be the cockpit filled with various people, which was the last thing he wanted. But before he could quietly turn around and leave, he heard a voice that sounded familiar speak "Well, well, well. I smell the blood of a human in our vents. Care to come down and say hello?" Henry crawled as fast as he could in the other direction. How in the hell could someone smell him in the vents? Henry wasn't one for fancy fragrances and he bathed regularly, so he knew he didn't smell. Whatever the reason, Henry wasn't going to stick around.

Henry heard the man laugh in the distance and declare "You can't run from me in my domain, human." Henry had to get out of this Airship, maybe come up with a different plan with the captain later. Henry felt the bottom of the vent randomly give out and he fell straight into that prison room, though he was in a different part of it. Henry quickly stood up and tried to run towards the door that led to the exit, but two cold hands suddenly grabbed him and turned him around. Henry was now face to face with his old high school friend, Reginald Copperbottom.

"Ah, Henry. It's good to see you after so long." Henry didn't know why Reginald looked paler then usually, or why his once brown eyes were now an unnatural glowing gold. And Henry didn't know why he couldn't run away or hear anything from his earpiece, a strange calmness flowing through him. Reginald ran his fingers under Henry's chin as he circled Henry, almost like he was an animal eyeing prey. "So, those Government dogs tied you to a leash and are having you do tricks for their own amusement? Cowards. You deserve so much better then them."

Reginald kept circling Henry, playing with his hair as he continued talking "You seem unable to move my dear friend. Maybe it is shock from seeing an old friend, or maybe you know I won't hurt you and you could just close those tired eyes of yours, my friend." Henry knew Reginald long enough, they had got into so many adventures as rowdy high schoolers, he somehow knew Reginald wouldn't harm him. And Henry felt his eyelids getting oddly heavier and heavier, just when did he get this tired?

Henry tried to shake away the drowsiness setting in, he knew he had to run, but Reginald and his oddly soothing voice spoke again "A nap won't hurt you dear. You deserve one. Let your precious eyes rest for just a moment. You are in no danger." Henry couldn't fight his growing fatigue and found himself nodding off. A quick nap wouldn't hurt, after all, he wasn't in any danger anymore. Henry didn't notice Reginald's growing fangs from his mouth or the fact that Charles was desperately screaming for Henry to run in his earpiece. Henry's eyes slipped shut as Reginald fangs dug into Henry's neck.

A loud gunshot pulled Reginald's attention away as Henry stumbled backwards, still in his clouded haze. Rupert Price, the now military man, had busted through the door of the Airship and quickly grabbed Henry. Henry didn't remember much until he was sitting in the helicopter again and his neck was oddly sore. Henry found himself drifting back off to sleep despite the pain he was feeling all over his body, being lulled back into his slumber.

---

Captain Galeforce wasn't expecting to deal with vampires today. And because of him, a civilian had been marked by one. Galeforce had to do the right thing, he couldn't let Henry fall into the Toppat's hands. So Galeforce had Charles call up the warden of The Wall, Dmitri Johannes Petrov. Most people only know Dmitri for being a warden, but he also was a vampire hunter in his spare time. And Dmitri knows all about those that have been marked and how to protect them from being taken completely.

"Bring the boy to The Wall. I will have a room set up for him while my team plans. Henry will not fall into those monster's hands. Just like when I had to save your ass." Galeforce grew embarrassed from Dmitri bringing up the past, but was glad Dmitri offered to help him. The worried captain looked back at Henry, who was sweating and tossing in his sleep while mumbling. Thankfully for Galeforce, Dave was never bitten. Dave wasn't sure why he was even captured, but was glad to be saved and reunited with Rupert again. It was going to be a long trip to Canada for them all.

---

Reginald had retired to his room for the night. The Government think they are so clever taking Henry to The Wall, but Reginald can see and hear all through Henry thanks to his bond to him found on Henry's neck. And Reginald had his best spies there at The Wall, ready to act whenever they were called. Reginald closed his eyes and found himself in Henry's dreams. He made them as pleasant as he possibly could, making sure his precious Henry rested well. Soon he would be reunited with Henry and bring him into the darkness of the night.

Chapter Text

Captain Galeforce couldn't sleep and decided to sit in the co pilot's seat of the helicopter. They still had a way to go before they reached The Wall, and he didn't want to disturb Rupert or Dave as they slept. Though the fact that Henry was sleeping soundly with a smile on his face completely worried Galeforce, it probably meant that the vampire that marked him was manipulating his dreams. At least Charles was used to long helicopter travels, so he was still wide awake.

"So what did the warden mean by him saving your ass?" Charles asked, genuinely curious. Galeforce was hoping Charles wasn't going to ask, but since he couldn't get to sleep, he might as well humor Charles with his slightly embarrassing tale.

---

"A long time ago, this captain was a dumb as rocks rookie. The Government had allied with Canada on a joint mission to take out a group of thieves. And with this joint mission I met the future warden, who I call Dima for short. So Dima was one of my team mates in this mission and despite the fact I wasn't the smartest crayon in the box, Dima grew fond of me and we became fast friends during that time.

So the night of the big mission arrives and we scout the place. The only things all these thieves had in common were that they wore various hats, with the ring leader wearing three of them. Turns out later that the other thing they had in common was being Toppats and vampires, but we didn't have that information at the time. So after we got into position, Dima gave the signal, and we bum rushed the place.

I was feeling extra brave and stupid at the time and opted to fight the one with the three hats. At the time, I just saw an idiot wearing three hats, like an idiot. So I attack him and he just grabbed my arm and threw me like a rag doll into a nearby wall. Apparently me getting up from that and trying to attack him again impressed him, and next thing I knew he was digging his fangs into me before I blacked out.

The mission was a failure because no one was prepared to fight fucking vampires and Dima called for a retreat. I remember Dima waking me up from being face down on concrete and my neck bleeding but was in and out of it until we got back to base. I learned that night that I was marked by the ringleader, who went by Sir Wilford IV. Being marked doesn't turn you, but gets your body ready to be turned. I sort of remember the first two days of being locked in my room on base, everything hurt, I was sweating and Wilford tried to invade my dreams to lead me away from the Government.

Day three got kind of muddle as Wilford's influence grew stronger and I honestly don't remember the rest until Dima woke me up after he and some others had slained Wilford. Apparently one of those days I tried climbing out the window so I could "be with my master". I fell and got tangled in a tree. Dima almost left me there, as it was a good restraint in his eyes, but after sealing the window up, he got me down after spending half a day there."

---

Galeforce looked out the window, rubbing his hand on his neck. "I'm glad I met Dima. He might be a hardass, but there is also a kind heart in there. I do love the bastard to death and wouldn't change anything about him." Charles smiled at the story as he did a quick check over of the helicopter's systems. All systems were optimal and Charles went back to flying but he had to ask"Do you think that the warden can take on this new vampire at his age? And what happens if the vampires get Henry back?"

Galeforce glanced in the back at Henry, who was still blissfully sleeping away. "Dima has a team of vampire hunters at The Wall at all times, he knows what he is doing. And I'll personally make sure those filthy vampires don't get their claws on Henry if I have to."

Chapter Text

Dmitri Johannes Petrov was waiting at the helicopter land pad at The Wall alongside his second in command, Grigori Oylat and his apprentice, Wallace Pemberton. Hubert was going to arrive in the hour and Dmitri knew he had to get that Henry kid hidden away from the vampires as fast as he could. Dmitri could care less at this moment about Henry's past or his crimes, no one deserved to be turned into a monster, especially not someone that was willing to help a friend and free a stranger that would of been most likely turned into a thrall for vampire meals.

Dmitri heard the helicopter coming and motioned Wallace and Grigori to be ready. Soon the helicopter landed and Captain Galeforce got off first, helping Henry off the helicopter next. Henry was shaking and sweating but was aware of everything happening. Rupert, Dave and Charles were the last to leave the helicopter. Dmitri had Rupert, Dave and Charles follow him while Galeforce and Henry followed Grigori and Wallace.

---

Grigori had led everyone through several hallways before pressing his hand on a random wall. The wall pulled back into a secret entrance and Grigori had Wallace take the lead as he closed the hidden entrance back. Finally they reached the end of the hallway and a small room at the end of it. This was going to be Henry's home for the next week or so. It had a small window near the ceiling, a toilet, sink and shower, a bed and a bookcase with some books. Henry had sat down on his bed as the others left and closed the door. Henry picked up one of the books and had started reading it, hoping to keep his mind distracted from the pain and that seductive voice of Reginald's that would lull and comfort him.

Grigori explained to Galeforce that Wallace would keep guard of Henry and was the last line of defense if any vampires tried to steal Henry. Henry would be fed well, his door having a small section to put food through, and there was no way of him escaping, especially once his judgement was compromised. Grigori bid Wallace farewell, as he and Galeforce went to meet up with Dmitri and the others.

After a few minutes, Wallace let out a chuckle as he opened the small section of the door to speak with Henry. "So, Lord Copperbottom has his eyes on you? You should be honored young lad." Henry saw Wallace's eyes change from blue to gold as he continued speaking "Don't worry about me, you will be protected. But you will be protected, from those filthy humans that wish to defy our master."

Henry wanted to scream for help, he wanted so desperately to scream for somebody, but just as suddenly he heard Reginald's voice in his head, soothing his worries "Hush now, my precious. Let those awful thoughts leave your head. Soon we will be together again, just like old times. Trust in Wallace to get you to safety when the time is right." Henry let the book he was reading drop to the floor, as he continued to listen to Reginald speaking to him from inside his head, calmness washing over him with every word Reginald spoke. Wallace went back to his post, eyes changing back as it was only a matter of time before he made his move.

---

Dmitri had brought Charles, Rupert and Dave to his office. And once Galeforce and Grigori joined them, Dmitri started discussion on what to do. After much back and forth, they figured out on what they wanted to do. Charles would take Dave back to the Government's main headquarters, they didn't want another civilian getting caught in the crossfire. Grigori and Galeforce would stay at The Wall alongside some other guards, they were to hold the line if the big planned failed.

Dmitri, Rupert and Dmitri's elite vampire hunters would attack the Airship, with the main goal of killing the head vampire there, Reginald Copperbottom. Dmitri was confident in his plan, knowing he had a back up plan ready, just in case. And Galeforce trusted Dmitri's judgement to help out, but hopefully things would be successful on Dmitri's end.

---

The Toppat Airship was eerily empty, except for three vampires still on the ship. Reginald had dressed the similar looking vampire up in his clothing. "You should be proud of yourself Howie. Not many people have the honor to play as me." Howie Howitzer was still quite nervous about playing Reginald's body double, but Reginald would take care of that before he and his Right Hand Man left. The red headed right hand stood dutifully as Reginald finished making sure Howie looked the part.

Before Reginald left, he snapped his fingers as Howie's eyes turned gold on their own. Howie now believed himself fully to be Reginald Copperbottom, and he was ready to face any hunters that threatened his clan.

Reginald and Right had started their long flight to Canada, the rest of the clan was safely tucked away from harm. Reginald just needed to pick up his precious cargo from The Wall, and no one was going to stop him from reaching Henry.

Chapter Text

The sun rose at The Wall and Dmitri's vampire hunting team were finishing preparations. Dmitri however, decided to pay a visit to the marked lad and make sure Wallace was doing ok. It was roughly four days since Henry was marked and at this point he was expecting Henry's mind to be completely consumed by the vampire that marked him, to be desperate to see his "master".

But to Dmitri's surprise, Henry was still mentally there. His eyes were gray and he was still sweating and shaking, but Henry was somehow mentally present. "Henry, how are you doing this morning?" Dmitri asked, wanting to really see how present Henry was. "I'm ok. Everything still hurts but I'm hanging in there." Dmitri was slightly confused at this, either the boy had a will of stone, a tongue of silver or...

"Henry, may I ask you a personal question? Do you somehow know the vampire that marked you?" Henry didn't answer at first, thinking of what to say, but then he heard Reginald's voice to tell the old warden the truth, that it was ok to do so. "I didn't know he was a vampire or a leader of a criminal organization, but I knew Reginald. He and I were friends since childhood and I kind of had a crush on him in high school, but I had to move soon after we graduated and we never saw each other until that day on the Airship."

...or Henry knew the vampiric perpetrator personally. Dmitri wasn't going to change his plans, Henry was still a victim of a vampire marking, and he still had a vampire to slay.

---

Wallace was doing fine, Henry wasn't being problematic so Wallace was just on guard, just in case. Though Dmitri didn't need to know that little extra of him protecting Henry from the humans that trapped him here.

Dmitri soon left Henry and Wallace, and soon his team was off to find that Airship the vampire named Reginald resided in. Dmitri warned Rupert and his team that things will be violent and people may die. But everyone in that helicopter understood the risks and understood that letting criminal bloodsuckers run rampant was even worse. Soon they all saw that crimson Airship, and everyone readied their weapons.

---

Reginald and Right were soon approaching The Wall. They kept hidden in stealth as they approached the snowy prison. They would need a distraction, and it would need to be in two parts. Reginald swiftly moved in the shadows, whispering tantalizing thoughts of mutiny and violence in several guards minds while Right easily overloaded the electricity at the Wall, causing a power outage and all the prisoners there to be freed.

To say Galeforce and Grigori were not prepared for electrical failure, a full scale prison break and several guards going mad, would be an understatement. They couldn't get in contact with Dmitri or any outside help. Galeforce was glad Wallace and Henry were hidden, because vampires were the least of their worries.

---

Henry held on to Wallace as they made their way to some abandoned tunnels. Henry was still very unsteady on his feet, but he knew Reginald was close. Wallace had left his walkie talkie inside the room Henry was in so he couldn't be tracked. Soon Henry would be reunited with his old friend, who knew he had a crush on him. And vampire lord felt the same way.

Chapter Text

Dmitri signaled the helicopter he and his hunters were on to fly above the Toppat Airship. Dmitri figured that everyone landing above the Airship and spliting up once inside was the best bet. Everyone checked their crossbows, silver knives and silver stakes and on Dmitri's cue, everyone landed on the top of the Airship, opening the top hatch and entering inside. The helicopter pilot knew to stay close and be ready.

Dmitri had the vampire hunters split into groups of two, with Rupert grouping up with him. Rupert was a trained military man, but he had never faced a dirty bloodsucker before. And Dmitri wasn't liking how warm the Airship was or how there wasn't a vampire in sight.

Dmitri and Rupert readed their knives when they reached the last unchecked place of the Airship, the cockpit. Dmitri quickly threw opened the door and Rupert charged in, only to be thrown by some walking shadow. "Welcome hunters. I, Lord Reginald Copperbottom, have been waiting for your arrival." Reginald let out a laugh as two more shadows appeared, surrounding Dmitri and Rupert. Dmitri tried stabbing through the shadow, but it was like slicing through water.

"Tell me bloodsucker, what do you have planned with Henry. It is clear that something more is going on then you let on." Dmitri normally wasn't one for talking with the enemy, but he needed to find some opening to attack the lead vampire. "Ah, ah, ah! I'm not going to spoil that surprise." Reginald kept his eyes on the vampire hunters, knowing that one slip up would end him. Rupert held his silver knife close as he went for a distraction.

Rupert quickly slid underneath the shadowy creatures and got a good slice on Reginald's chest. Reginald stumbled backwards before regaining stance, knocking Rupert into the nearby wall with one hand. And then the last thing Reginald saw Dmitri and the silver stake charging right at him. Reginald crumbled into dust, causing Dmitri to look wide eye. "Mr Petrov sir, mission well done." Rupert said as he slowly got up. "That wasn't the head vampire. They would burst in a blinding fire if they were. Boy, I think we've been had."

Before Rupert could say anything, Dmitri and Rupert heard a loud sound from outside, and from the cockpit windows, they saw a rocket with the Toppat insignia on the side, launching into space. Dmitri pulled out his cellphone to call The Wall, but no one was answering. Dmitri gathered his team and headed back to the helicopter, cursing under his breathe that he had been had.

Chapter Text

Reginald had Right head to the rendezvous point, where they were going to meet Wallace and Henry. There was two things Reginald had to take care of.

---

Galeforce and Grigori had decided to split up, Grigori was to check on the electrical situation while Galeforce went to rally up the few guards that were still sane. So Grigori made his way to the electrical room of the main building, cold and frustrated with everything going on. Though he stopped in a hallway when a voice echoed in his head "Why are you the one dealing with the lighting? That Captain doesn't even work here, he should be listening to you." Grigori froze before barking out "What is it to you?! What do you even want, foul beast!"

Reginald remained hidden in the shadows as he continued to speak "What is it that you want, my dear? You've worked so hard here, blood, sweat and tears. And for what, someone that Dmitri is infatuated with to steam roll all over you? After all, it was his fault this even happened. Who is to say Galeforce isn't in on it?" Grigori glanced behind, why did that Galeforce get to play hero anyways. "He is a threat to you and Dmitri. You are the right hand here at The Wall, your job is to protect those working here."

Grigori turned around, it made perfect sense. Galeforce lures Dmitri away with a mission and The Wall gets attacked shortly afterwards? Grigori had a threat to remove, and his name was Captain Galeforce.

---

Reginald left The Wall as quietly as he came and headed towards a beach area that was away from civilization. Once there, he pulled out a small scarf and let it fall into the ocean. Reginald couldn't help the tears that fell from his eyes as he spoke "Thank you for all that you done, young Howie. Your sacrifice allowed the rest of the family to escape to the stars safely. Young Howie, you were far more skilled then you will ever know. Rest easy now as we continue forward in victory."

Reginald watched the waves for a few minutes before starting his trek to the rendezvous point. It was always hard losing someone in the clan and Reginald always made time to remember the ones that were lost. Though Howie's sacrifice wasn't in vain, the Toppats were in space and Reginald would soon be reunited with his precious Henry.

Chapter Text

Galeforce wasn't sure where to begin on quelling this mess, but he had to try something. The captain started running towards the main yard of The Wall, where most of the chaos was at. But his run came short as he felt himself be flung into a wall. Before Galeforce could regain his balance, a terrifying force grabbed him with ease. And that force was Grigori Oylat.

"You are cause for everything! And as the warden's right hand, I will see the problem solved." Grigori slammed Galeforce into the wall, and then another. Galeforce wriggled out of his shirt and out of Grigori's grip just long enough to start running back to Dmitri's office. Whatever madness gripped the guards here had somehow taken hold of Grigori. And Galeforce knew from the look in Grigori's eyes, that he wanted Galeforce dead.

Galeforce quickly shut and locked the door once in Dmitri's office, pushing some filing cabinets infront of the door as a barricade. Galeforce could only hope Dmitri and Rupert got back soon, because Galeforce knew he couldn't win against Grigori.

---

Despite Henry's body being in absolute agony, he felt his soul thum loudy. They were close to Reginald, close to being reunited after so many years. Henry remembered the last time he saw Reginald, Reg had gotten a new job and had to move away for it. He remembers just holding on to Reginald for the longest time, wanting to spill out his feelings for him, but he wanted Reginald to be happy and enjoy his new job. So he kept quiet and wished Reg off on a happy note.

Henry had moved himself a few weeks later, his father getting a promotion at his workplace and wanting to move somewhere safer. He remembered papa finding a nightclub dj gig and things going good until his father came home injured. Apparently his co workers didn't like him and staged some sort of uprising with some young upstart rookie leading. Henry helped his father get back on his feet before deciding to move out and try to make it in the world.

Henry broke out of his own thoughts to two figures standing at the end of the tunnel. Wallace let Henry go, seeing those gray eyes sparkle and Henry ran straight into Reginald's arms. They held each other like they did back then, Henry nestling his head into Reginald's chest. Reginald spoke softly, knowing what he had to do next. "It is almost over Henry, soon your human life will be no more and we will be reunited forevermore."

Henry braced himself as Reginald sunk his fangs into Henry's neck. Henry felt his body burn with an awful pain, before a soothing feeling washed over him. Henry's gray eyes turned golden before slipping shut. Reginald had a firm grip on Henry as his body slumped in his arms. Reginald removed his fangs from Henry's neck and in one swift motion had Henry in his arms bridal style.

Right let out a loud whistle, as Wallace ran back to The Wall, making sure he looked the part of a battered guard that couldn't protect Henry. The sound of horses pulling a carriage got louder and louder, and soon a large black carriage with two jet black horses approached the now three vampires. Right opened the carriage door and Reginald, with Henry in his arms, entered. Right sat in the front of the carriage and with another whistle, the carriage was off into the darkness of the night.

Chapter Text

A cold freezing rain had started coming down, but that didn't matter to Right. The horses could handle alot worse and the carriage provided protection to his lord and his lord's lover. Right only needed to glance at the small window of the carriage to see Reginald bundled up with Henry, both sleeping soundly. His lord deserved this sleep, he had been working tirelessly to protect the Toppat clan and their, other project. Right pulled a small canopy over him as he continued to lead the horses to their destination.

---

Dmitri wasn't expecting a full power outage at The Wall, nor was he expecting pure madness. Dmitri and his troops quickly got out of their helicopter and the warden quickly spurred into action. Rupert and two others were to go get the electricity back online while the rest of his team went to quell the prison break. Dmitri quickly ran to his office in the meantime, only to see Grigori trying to ram open the door to his office.

"Olyat, what are you trying to do?" Dmitri was slow in approaching his right hand man, not liking the look on his face. Grigori slammed himself at the door at full speed, causing the door to crack and splinter in places. "That captain friend of yours is the cause for everything going wrong! I'm going to do my job and protect The Wall at all costs." Dmitri got in front of Grigori, preventing anymore destruction to the poor door. "I can assure you that Hubert is the last person who would do any wrong. Where did you get that idea from anyways?"

Grigori furrowed his brows in anger "Your Hubert has to be working with the vampires, it makes sense! He was once bitten by them, he could be programmed to serve them!" Dmitri knew that Grigori knew the difference between being marked and being bitten, something or someone had gotten into his right hand man's head and planted those thoughts. "Olyat, you know yourself the difference between being marked by a vampire and being turned by one. Yes Hubert was marked years ago, but the vampire who did it was slained, by me. So stand down."

Grigori did knew the difference, and now that he thought about it, he honestly didn't know where his rage to kill the captain came from. Grigori sat down in the hallway, feeling horribly fatigued suddenly. Dmitri bent down and put his hand on Grigori's shoulder "Rest up friend, I am slowly getting the situation under control. We will talk later"

The sound of filing cabinets scrapping against the floor grabbed Dmitri's attention. He heard Hubert from his room "Give me a minute Dima, also where are your spare coats?" Dmitri was confused on the last question, until Galeforce opened the door to Dmitri's office, shirtless and embarrassed, causing Dmitri's face to turn red.

Chapter Text

It took several hours, but soon The Wall was back in order. Most prisoners that escaped were swiftly caught and the guards that had went temporarily mad were given vacation time to rest their weary minds. Though to Dmitri's surprise there were a group of prisoners that stayed behind in a small group with some injured guards.

The "ring leader" of these criminals was well known arsonist, Ellie Rose. She didn't like the feel of everything happening and felt it was better to stay put. To be fair, Dmitri didn't blame her with the fact that too many things out of the ordinary happened in a short time. They were all put back in their cells, but Dmitri would look into their case files once things calmed down to help lighten their sentence.

Dmitri found Wallace badly beaten up and Henry missing. There was a good chance that Henry was long gone, especially if the Wall issues was a distraction to snag the young lad. Dmitri found vampires to be extra with these kind of things. Wallace was sent to the infirmary to heal up and Dmitri was thinking on what to do next.

---

Terrence Radman Suave was not a morning person. Unlike his perky vampire husband, Randy, Terrence was an aging human that needed his coffee to remotely start functioning. Terrence was also a worried father. His son, Henry Stickmin Radman Suave, hadn't called or texted in weeks. They always kept in contact, keeping each other up to date on their happenings and such. So Terrence dialed Henry's number and this time he got an answer, but it wasn't Henry.

"Excuse me, but who the hell are you and why do you have my son's phone." Terrence was a man who always went straight to the point. "My name is Captain Hubert Galeforce of the Government. And as unbelievable as this sounds, your son was spirited away by a vampire that is also a criminal organization leader." Terrence froze, that bastard didn't just wisk away his son. He was such a bad influence on Henry in his high school years.

"That bastard wouldn't happen to be Reginald Copperbottom, leader of the Toppat Clan." A silence filled the air before Galeforce responded "That would be correct." Terrence thought he was done with the Toppats and jackass vampires, but that was no longer the case "Give me a location where my husband and I can meet up with you and my husband and I can give as much information on everything we can."

Chapter Text

Henry woke up to being held in Reginald's strangely cold yet protective ams. The carriage they were in had come to a stop and they seemed to be inside a dark cave of sort. The carriage itself managed to look bigger on the inside then the outside, golds and blacks all over the walls and roof and a dark red carpet on the floor. There was a regal aura to the whole carriage that Henry was just in awe over.

Henry then noticed his own hands. They were paler then normal and his usually rough nails were now pristine and even. He felt Reginald's hand start stroking his face as Reginald let out a content hum. "You look ever so beautiful, Henry. I'm glad fate let reunite again after all those years ago. I should of acted on my feelings for you before moving away, taken you with me." Henry's face blushed as he replied "You had feelings for me all those years ago as well? I never said anything that day because you were excited for your new venture and I didn't want to seem like I was being rude to you. I wanted you to be happy."

A laugh escapes both of them as Reginald pulls out a bottle and some goblets from underneath the seat. As Reginald started pouring the red liquid that Henry instantly smelled as blood, he continued to speak "Well we don't have to worry about the past anymore. We are here now and soon we will be home to embrace each other for as long as the moon rises and falls."

Reginald handed Henry his goblet and the smell of blood was almost intoxicating to him. Henry resisted the urge to just down the liquid, slowly drinking from the goblet instead. Reginald found it cute how Henry was drinking from the goblet as he drank from his own. After Henry finished his goblet, he felt strangely fully sated. Reginald took the goblets and set them in a different part underneath their seats before sitting back, opting to let his claws softly go through Henry's hair again as the two started to catch up on everything.

---

Right and the horses slumbered outside, taking a break from their long trip. At this point they were far away from The Wall and Canada, but Right was always vigilant for his lord. Nothing would bring harm to him or his lover.

Chapter Text

Galeforce wasn't expecting Henry's fathers to arrive at the Wall by umbrella, though at this point, Galeforce was starting to get used to the weird.

Once the nicely dressed vampire in pink and his somehow paler human husband landed, Galeforce led the fathers to Dmitri's office, where the two took a seat infront of Dmitri and Galeforce.

The pink wearing vampire named Randy decided to get to the point, knowing that anything he told them could help find Henry.

"My name is Randy Radman Suave, husband to my whole world, Terrence Radman Suave. I am a vampire and former Toppat leader, with my husband only being a Toppat leader who faked being among the undead. Still not one of his brightest moments."

Terrence huffed as Randy continued "The Toppat clan is full of vampires and has been for as far as the sun rose and set. And Toppat vampire lords, or leaders in a more modern term, always had a funny little tradition where they would wisk away humans to become their betrothed, most of the time it was either random strangers with a twinge of darkness in their hearts or past lovers they wanted to share their gift of the night to."

Galeforce found himself looking at the floor, his hand unconsciously touching his neck, the comment about having darkness in his heart somehow hitting close to home.

"Even I took part of the tradition, though I was much younger and stupider at the time. I stole Terrence from his home, easy how so many people aren't up to date on real vampire lore, but I found myself unable to turn Terrence. I fell head over heels for the man, with Terrence doing the same, and soon we married, making hidden last minute adjustments at the ceremony so Terrence wouldn't be drinking blood, because I never turned him and didn't want people finding out."

"The thing that is particularly tricky to deal with is that vampire castles are bound to the current Toppat lord. So where the castle would be in one reign would no longer be there for another. So being able to tell you where Reginald might of gone with our son is alot harder then it looks."

Terrence interrupted Randy, wanting to chime in with his own thoughts "Captain and Warden, if it turns out that Henry wants to be with Reginald... don't pursue them any longer. As much as I love my son and hate Copperbottom, the last thing I want is to upset my son by denying him happiness."

Dmitri hummed as he stood up, turning to face the small window of his office "As long as this Copperbottom never messes with us again, we will not go after your son. I noticed while your boy was transforming, that he wasn't showing the usual signs of being thralled, that my years of vampire hunting deduced that there was probably more going on then what first appeared."

The four men sat in silence for the longest time, not knowing what to do next. Galeforce then decided to break the ice and ask a hopefully more lighthearted question "So Terrence, how did the Toppats figure you to be human?"

Randy gave Terrence a shit eating grin as Terrence himself felt himself getting embarrassed "So... you know those fake vampire teeth you get from the stores. Well I several sets that were filed down to look like natural vampire teeth and made sure to apply denture cream to them every moon rise so that they stayed affixed in my mouth."

"One day, my tired ass used toothpaste instead of denture cream, and while in a meeting and eating lunch, my teeth popped out into the bagel I was eating. To say the Toppats were pissed was an understatement."

Dmitri let out a snicker as Randy resisted the urge to fall over laughing. Terrence smiled at the memory, long ago the memory of betrayal hurt pretty bad, but now Terrence can look foundly back at the silly memory, especially since he was the only human to ever lead the Toppats for a short amount time, and Terrence was still proud of that.

The light hearted air was suddenly filled with screaming, as Galeforce hit the floor, screaming in pain as he clutched his neck.

Dmitri was quick to Galeforce's side, removing Hubert's hand from his neck to see what could of possible caused his pain. And Dmitri couldn't believe it, those two familiar fang marks on Galeforce's neck.

Which meant that somehow, Sir Wilford IV was still alive out there.

Chapter Text

Something told Dmitri to not put Galeforce in the usual sealed room, that there was something funny with Henry's disappearance and the constancy of Wallace's injuries that just didn't sit right with him.

So Dmitri had Galeforce in his room, removing most of the dressers and anything that could be used as a weapon and making sure his window was locked, even though a person couldn't fit through it, there was that chance a vampire could.

Terrence and Randy decided to stay at the Wall and help out with anything they could, surprised themselves that Wilford was alive, and worrying Dmitri even more.

---

The carriage carrying Henry and Reginald finally stopped at a rather large castle, a heavy rain thundering down on the evening.

The carriage door opened and a man with two monocles helped Henry and Reginald out, leading them inside of the castle while Right took the horses back to their stables.

Henry wanted to ask so many questions, but didn't even know where to begin. Reginald however, was in sync with Henry and started speaking "This is the magnificent Toppat Castle, a castle that exisits to serve the current leader of the clan."

Reginald let Henry get a good look of the main hall, decorated in golds and silvers and very fancy paintings on the walls. "It is beautiful, not as beautiful as you of course, my dear Henry. Though this castle isn't the original Toppat Castle of old, that just vanished when Sir Wilford IV was slained, which never has happened in the centuries of the Toppat clan."

Henry saw Reginald was deep in thought, not sure on what his love was thinking about. Reginald soon shook his head before resuming speaking "I am getting ahead of myself here. The gentleman that helped us inside is Thomas Chestershire, a vampire bulter here that keeps things tidy in the castle. Between him and Right, any foolish intruder or hunter is quickly taken care of."

Reginald offered his hand to Henry again, with Henry taking it as they walked the various hallways, eventually finding themselves in what looked to be the kitchen.

"Now my dear, while you have had your taste in some fine bottled blood, why don't I show you the wonders of a real meal, and the fun that happens afterwards." Reginald gave Henry a sly smile, with Henry confused but also getting hungry at the thought of fresh blood.

Right on cue, Thomas walked in with what seemed to be two museum workers, one with blonde hair and the other with glasses. The two seemed to be staring off into space, unaware of their surroundings or the fact that two vampires were approaching them with their fangs extended.

Thomas just turned away and let the lovers have their feast, him and Right would be partaking in the tougher thralls later on in the night.

Chapter Text

After the feasting were done, Henry and Reginald set off to Reginald's private chambers, where they would bathe and eventually turn in to rest before the morning sun rose.

Thomas and Right escorted the thralls back to their own lavish chambers, the two of them taking a walk as they decided on who they wanted to take from.

Thomas eventually spoke up to Right, "So the rest of the clan has made it to space safely? I'm glad they will be safe from whatever Lord Reginald is fearing. Our Lord has always had a sixth sense when it came to preparing for eventually dangers."

Right responded as he pointed out two security officers from the museum to Thomas "You could of joined them as well, you don't have to stay in the castle afterall. And I am pretty sure that we have a big war coming, Reg thinks Lord Wilford was brought back by something or someone and that he has came back... wrong. I think that is silly, but like you said, Reg has a good sense on these kinds of things so we just need to be on our toes and claws from now on."

Right dug into one of security officers as Thomas stepped back with his meal "I like taking care of the castle, it is almost calming at times. Whatever battles may happen, you know that I will stand and fight against, nothing will come to harm our lord or his lover."

Thomas then dug into the neck of his meal, the two vampires enjoying their meal before letting the thralls go back to what they were doing.

---

And in the far off ocean, choppy oceans swaying a small boat back and forth, a large vampire sits on top of roof of the boat, taking a good look at his now metal claws before standing up.

"The humans may have slain me once, but now I am reborn, a mix of flesh and steel. And soon I will have revenge on those foolish mortals and bring a new age of darkness to the world."

Chapter Text

The heavily scarred face of Lord Wilford looked up at the night sky, his sharp cybernetic claws crossed behind his back. The once powerful Vampire Lord never thought he would be brought back to life, especially not enhanced with technology of the future.

But here Wilford was, a mix of flesh and metal who was alive, well as alive as an undead vampire could get. And it was all thanks to Dr Anastasia Vinschpinsilstien, the daughter of a dear friend he saved long ago.

From what the good doctor told him, she collected as much of Wilford's ashes as she could a few days after he was slained and with the help of some ancient book she had, Dr V brought the ashes back to life.

But that wasn't enough, as Wilford was still missing his arms and his legs. Wilford just remembers Dr V's smile as she spoke to him "Bringing you back to life was hard part, replacing limbs is much easier."

And somehow that doctor created metal limbs that acted just like his regular arms and legs, Wilford was even able to get the dear doctor to sharpen the metallic fingers to be like his familiar claws.

Of course Wilford was skeptical on why Dr V helped him, knowing how humans like their deals. But the doctor didn't want anything in return, only saying "You helped out my father many years ago, saving his life out of kindness. So I just returned the favor, paying off a debt that was owed."

Wilford found himself letting out a deep chuckle, tracing the air with his finger as several black portals spawned in the sky. And from those portals, hundreds of marble green gargoyles flew out, eyes glowing bright red.

"Minions! Go forth and conquer! You know who all to attack." And with a snap of his fingers, the gargoyles flew off in every direction, ready to destroy those that their master willed to be destroyed.

Chapter Text

Charles didn't like that Galeforce hadn't called to update him on this whole vampire situation for almost two days now. The Captain was like a father to him and for Galeforce to not even attempt to text anything worried the pilot dearly.

Charles paced through the base in heavy thought when he saw Dave walking towards, trying to get his attention.

"Hey Charles, could I join in this walk around base. Just trying to... not worry so much about Ruppy being over at the Wall helping fight vampires." Charles just nodded as Dave walked besides him, seeing him just as worried.

After a few minutes of the two of them walking in silence, Charles decided to speak up "So Dave, how long have you known Rupert?"

Dave smiled fondly as he spoke, "Ruppy and I have known each other since we were little kids, he was like my best friend in school and soon we even enrolled in the same police academy."

"It was there that we realized that we sort of saw each other as more then friends... and when Ruppy randomly kissed me one day, we both knew we were in love."

Dave looked down at the ground as his smile shrank "After the whole mess with that Henry person and us changing jobs, we thought things would go back to the same old boring. But then the Toppats attacked the museum"

"Everyone was freaking out... like they don't teach you how to fight vampires in the police academy and they were all so much faster and stronger then us. I remember a tall red headed one easily disarming me and then his eyes glowed a bright yellow and... the next thing I knew, I was in that prison cell in that really cold flying airship thing."

"I'm just worried about Ruppy and I hope to see him soon, you know?"

Charles patted Dave on the shoulder as he replied "I know the feeling. Galeforce is like a father to me and alot of people on base and I just hope he is doing ok over at the Wall."

Dave just nodded, looking up and seeing a bunch of strange objects heading towards the base.

"Um, Charles? What are those in the sky?" Charles looked up to where Dave was pointing at, and saw the things getting closer, almost looking like monsterous green beasts with wings.

The Government base's alarm started roaring as the gargoyle creatures started attacking. Troops fired their weapons to no avail, the bullet holes either regenerating or simply bouncing off.

Dave grabbed Charles' arm as he started running towards the armory building.

"Those... those things are like statues... so... so we need to hit them really hard! Um... do you have any like... rocket launchers?"

Charles just looked at Dave confused "Do you even know how to shoot one?"

Dave just nodded as they closed the armory door, with Charles locking the door despite the fact that those gargoyles could probably tear down the wooden door in seconds.

"One of my teachers back at the academy made sure to teach us about handling every possible weapon you could imagine. I think he once said that his older brother works in the Government, which is cool."

Dave was rummaging through boxes, the sounds of gun fire, monstrous screeching and alarms still blaring being the only thing heard before Charles saw Dave triumphantly pushing several boxes over to Charles.

"Not all of these are rockets but still have solid firing power, so... maybe start passing out weapons... so we kind of don't die?"

Charles nodded, watching as Dave loaded his rather large rocket and kicking down the locked door, blasting two gargoyles from one blast and causing them to disintegrate.

"My ears are going to hate me!" Dave shouted, loading another round as Charles was passing out weapons and occasionally stopping to help shoot away at the gargoyles.

But no matter how many gargoyles everyone destroyed, more kept flying into battle. The Government forces felt hopeless as ammo was running low while the gargoyles were still chugging along.

Charles was now the one running with Dave, headed straight to his helicopter as he contacted Hershell Panzer "Panzer, call a retreat and get everyone to safety, it is clear we don't have what it takes to fight these things. I am taking the civilian with me to Canada and we are going to see if Mr Petrov can help."

Charles then cut off his radio, knowing Hershell would not agree to what Charles was doing. Dave stayed in the cargo hold of the helicopter, rocket launcher and ammo nearby as Charles started his helicopter.

Dave kept the gargoyles away from the helicopter the best he could, Charles flying the helicopter as high as he could before flying as fast as he could, wanting to get away from those flying monsters as best as he could.

Charles and Dave could only hope the Wall was having a better time then they were.

Chapter Text

Henry and Reginald were nuzzled up together in their coffin, just enjoying the comforting presence of the other as the sun had started to set in the sky.

Henry threaded his fingers through Reginald's hair as he asked, "So Reggie dear, how did you become a vampire anyways? I know you took over dad's job back when and I now know the Toppats were sort of the business he was referring to, but the details I am still very much in the dark of."

Reginald just hummed, enjoying Henry's fingers going through his hair. "Well my precious, I was approached by a large vampire named Sir Wilford IV, who offered a way to turn me into a vampire and use my skills to become far richer then what that tech job was offering."

"Wilford gave me an off setting vibe, but the promise of more money and the interest of becoming a vampire got the better of me. So I accepted, changing everything I once knew about life."

"Though Wilford didn't turn me himself, Chestershire was the one who marked and turned me. It was dreadfully painful as Thomas didn't know me and was too busy cleaning Wilford's Castle, what would be the old Toppat Castle, so he couldn't even provide a glimpse of comfort. Though I do not blame him for not being able to help with the pain."

"After I was turned, I started enriching myself in the history of the Toppats and learning about my new vampire self. Well, when I wasn't stealing things or helping plan heists."

"Things were great, until Wilford got overconfident and got himself slained, causing the Toppat Castle to strangely disappear and leaving alot of the clan without a home. Somehow Terrence appeared with an airship he stole, with the Toppats making Terrence leader."

"Though some of us could smell that something was off, that he didn't quite smell like a real vampire. And eventually, we caught Terrence in his lie and had him dethroned, chasing him away from the clan."

"I became leader, founded the newest Toppat Castle, our now beloved home and worked on getting the rest of the Toppats to space, while starting to search for you in secret. I so wanted to be with you again, Henry. Though the fates had other plans on how we would meet and reunited us on that day in the Airship."

Henry closed his eyes as he spoke "I had first felt the most terrifying fear on seeing you again after so long, though finding out vampires were real was also not helping my fear."

"But when you marked me, I didn't have that fear anymore. You were inside of me and we would be together again. Though that was quite the hammy introduction on the airship."

Reginald proudly grinned "Would you expect anything else from the drama king himself?"

Henry giggled and replied "Of course not, you are still a wonderful king. And I get to bask in your wonderous beauty."

Reginald kissed Henry as he removed the lid to their coffin "And I get to bask in your gorgeous body, my beautiful temple to admire."

Several loud thuds outside the castle walls got Henry and Reginald's attention, with Reginald bringing his claws out and pulling Henry close to him.

From what Reginald saw from their bedroom window, several gargoyles were trying to break through the magic barrier that protected the castle.

"This is bad, this is very bad. Those are Wilford's damned summons, which means somehow, that bastard is alive." Reginald let out a growl before Right and Thomas ran into the room.

Right spoke first, with Reginald motioning to Henry to go with Thomas. "Reg, we got gargoyles trying to break the barrier! What do we do?"

"We need to find the source of these damned things as destroying them is pointless! My love, stay here with Chestershire while Right and I go to rekill what should of stayed dead."

Henry gave Reginald a kiss before getting behind Thomas, with Reginald and Right soon flying out the window and following the trail of magic that the gargoyles left.

Henry held his hands close to his chest as he hoped his love would be safe out there facing whatever this unknown threat was.

Chapter Text

Rupert was taking a walk outside of the Wall, needing a few minutes to himself after these hectic few days. Though during his walk, he saw Randy nearby, placing a strange pink rock on the ground, something he started doing early in the morning.

Curiosity got the better of Rupert and he decided to see what the vampire was up to.

"Mr Radman? May I inquire to what you are doing with those bright colored rocks?"

Randy just smiled as he turned around in his heels, giving the soldier a reply "These rocks are going to provide a barrier for this large place. I have a strange feeling that Lord Wilford will try to strike here and take your Captain fellow. This place already looks rough and I did promise the warden to help out in anyway I can."

Rupert just found himself tilting his head "And how can these rocks just make a barrier?"

Randy motioned Rupert to take a closer look at the rocks "I enchanted these rocks with ancient vampire magic, alone they won't do anything besides a small barrier, but when in close proximity of other rocks like it, it connects the magic to it."

Randy stretched his arms and claws as he continued his explanation "Unless you have training in fighting stone like creatures, these are our best protection for now. Though eventually we will probably have to plan on finding where Wilford is hiding and slay him."

"How do we slay something that should of died already?"

Randy just sighed "Honestly, I don't know. Wilford was already one of the most dangerous vampires back then. So all we can do is plan, use our numbers against him and hope for the best in battle."

Rupert looked up at the sunny sky as Randy started walking away, looking for a good spot to place yet another rock. Rupert was still new to all this supernatural stuff, but hoped he was able to do his part in helping take down this threat so he could be eventually reunited with Dave.

And then something that looked like it was falling caught Rupert's eyes. It looked to be a helicopter and on closer inspection, it was indeed a helicopter, coming straight in for a hard landing!

Randy pulled Rupert out of the way as the helicopter hit the ground, eventually screeching to a halt. Rupert and Randy found themselves running to the copter as the back hatch door slide open and two familiar faces stumbled out.

"Told you I could land without brakes."

"You just... just declared that we didn't have... didn't have the brakes and told me to... hold on to my butt."

Rupert tackled Dave into a hug as Charles looked up at the stranger before him.

"You must be part of the Government? I am Randy Radman Suave, one of Henry Stickmin's father and here to help protect your Captain in any way I can."

Charles just dusted his jacket as he replied "Did something happen to Galeforce?"

Rupert let out a sigh "We will explain everything on the way back to the Wall, alot of things have happened since you and Dave left. And I mean alot."

Chapter Text

Henry followed Thomas as he gathered up all the thralls, slightly curious on what he was exactly doing. Thomas saw the curious twinkle in Henry's eyes and decided to explain what he was doing.

"I do not know how long the castle's barrier will hold against these creatures, so I am gathering up our thralls and having young Sven teleport them to the Toppat Orbital Station we have in space for safety. Once that is done, we will head to the lowest floor in the castle to hunker down until Lord Reginald and Right are able to remove the main threat."

Henry nodded as spoke "Vampires in space seems like the plot of a cheesy movie. Though I do have one odd question for you, Mr Chestershire. Reg said that you were the one who turned him, so wouldn't that mean that he should listen to you?"

Thomas let out a snort at the question "Even if it worked that way, I would much rather tend to the castle and everyone's needs. When I turned your Lord Reginald, it was simply to turn him and nothing more, so no connection was made between the two of us. Unlike when our Lord turned you, he did it out of love so he could be reunited with you."

The vampire butler beckoned the thralls to follow him outside as he continued "Vampires like Wilford are just savages who use their strength and powers to control and make themselves feel more powerful. They turn people to simply have more numbers and to be able to control those they have turned. Uncultured brutes is what they are."

Henry watched Thomas pull out a rather old cellphone, typing a few things before placing the phone back in his pocket "It won't take long for Sven to do his thing up there. The boy is going to make a fine leader for the next generation of Toppats."

Henry and Thomas stood in silence before a bright green light covered all the thralls, causing them to slightly lift in the air before vanishing just like that. Though Henry noticed alot more gargoyles around what Henry could only deduce was the barrier of the castle.

Henry then jolted with another question, worry in his throat. "What about the horse that was used to bring us here? Will they be safe?"

Thomas just smiled as the two made their way back inside the castle "Those horses are Right's familiars, he can summon and unsummon them at anytime. They are safe from the upcoming danger."

Henry just let out a nervous chuckle as Thomas continued "Don't be afraid to ask questions about things. You are new here and it is ok to not know about something."

Thomas pulled a book off a bookshelf, causing the entire bookshelf to move and reveal a flight of stairs that spiraled downwards "We have quite the ways to walk now, Lord Henry. If you feel like you need to rest at any time, let me know and I can carry you the rest of the way."

Henry just smiled as he replied "I think I should be good. If it is anything like the stairs at a lighthouse Reg and I visited long ago and maybe sort of vandalized by coloring the glass to the main light of the lighthouse pink and purple, then I can handle it, especially if we aren't running for our lives from security."

Thomas let out a curious hum at the story as the two started their trek down the long stairs, the bookshelf closing back up as Henry began to tell the lighthouse story in full to Thomas.
