Chapter Text
The sound of metal hitting metal and agony-filled screams echoed through the halls.
His wings were torn; so twisted and carved that they looked like organic birds wings. His lower left leg was on the other side of the room and the floor glowed blue with sprays and pools of spilt Energon.
Another scream left his vocaliser before finally shorting out, although his mouth still hung open in pain.
A knock to the head sent the seeker flying across the scuffed floor, leaving him dazed and paralysed. His surroundings sounding like they were deep underwater.
Pounding vibrations made his limp form jolt, the massive beasts charging forward. A humongous muzzle scooped up the broken toy and threw it into the air, Energon dripping with it.
The charred form landed with a rattle as the beasts all stalked forward, puzzled by the silence and stillness of their toy.
The jet’s chassis stuttered and stilled as the red glow of its spark dimmed from behind torn armour.
Nudging the jet with a disgruntled snort, one of the smaller dragons quickly lost interest and grumbled at the largest of the three, questioning.
The king raised its neck and bellowed, before leaping away and swooping off the edge of the tower, the other following out of instinct.
The sound of roaring and thundering wings grew quiet quickly. As quickly as the attack had begun, it was over.
The air was still, aside from the dry breeze left by the dragons wings.
The jet twitched and whined suddenly, movement slowly coming online; his vision blurred with pain and terror.
He startled and rolled over onto his broken limbs and scraped himself over to a nearby doorway before dropping to the ground, exhausted.
Raising his helm his vision swam, but it focused enough for him to make out an entry way just up ahead, the medbay.
Heaving a rattling breath, he pulled himself forward, felling his senses numbing from the lack of Energon in his body. He reached out his arm, grasping the edge of a berth, and pulled himself up into a sitting position.
Stilling a moment to rest, warnings flickered in his HUD, warning him of imminent offlining.
He raised his weak arm up to a cart, reaching for the contents in the upper draw, but his strength gave out, and the cart toppled to the ground next to him.
A few items clattered onto floor, including a patch, a welder, two energon canisters and a datapad.
Grasping the welder, he began soldering his wounds. But upon receiving a final, glaring warning. He quickly grabbed a canister and attached it to a link in his arm.
Just as his vision finally flickered to black, he saw the flow of Energon spinning through the tube into his veins.
