Work Text:

"I still can't believe the boys haven't put together where you are yet," Mina giggled from behind Izuku, winding his hair around a hot roller and clipping it at the bottom. He'd lost count of how many she'd put in, but it wasn't like he minded either way.

"I'm not surprised," Kyouka snorted, hands never wavering even with the movement, too focused on not messing up Izuku's nail polish. It felt a bit cold, but he was also used to it, so it wasn't unusual. "Can you imagine the freakout Kaminari would have if he knew Izuku came to our sleepovers?"

Ochako laughed loudly, rolling her face mask on in Momo's vanity mirror. "What about Tenya? He'd flip if he knew! I can hear it now, 'Midoriya-kun, it is against U.A. policy for members of the opposite sex to be in the same dorm room together! Especially overnight!' God, I would sell my right hand to hear him go off about it."

"I mean, Aizawa-sensei knows and approves, so why should Iida-kun care?" Tooru said.

Izuku held up the hand currently not being painted, since it was already finished. "Aizawa-sensei only approved because I'm bisexual and dating a male."

"I still can't believe you just came out to Sensei like that, kero," Tsu chuckled, leaning her head back so Momo could continue braiding her hair.

"How else was he supposed to believe me?!" Izuku groaned. "God, that was so embarrassing."

"Izuku, hold still," Kyouka gently smacked his hand with their empty one. "Don't get nail polish on Momo's robe."

"It's alright!" Momo smiled. "I have plenty more in my closet to go around."

Kyouka painted the last nail and put a foam separator between his fingers. "There, now be careful not to touch anything. You sure you didn't want a different color?"

Izuku nodded. "Yep! I think black nails look the coolest. Plus, they go with every outfit."

"Facts!" Ochako pointed at him.

The seven of them talked and gossiped for a while longer, really about anything and everything they could think of that had happened between then and two weeks before at the last girls' night sleepover. Things like what some of their classmates talk about in classes, who the girls' crushes are, Izuku's current relationship, rumors they'd heard from other classes, and other stuff similar.

About fifteen minutes into their usual gossip, though, Tooru interrupted. "Aw, man! We're all out of snacks!"

"Are you kidding?" Ochako's eyebrows rose. "That was quicker than usual. Who wants to go down and get some?"

Izuku shrugged. "I can go."

Mina snickered. "You're gonna go downstairs dressed like that? What would Todoroki-kun say, Izuku?"

His face flushed red, but he only pouted. "He's probably not even down there anyway, it's fine. The only people who even know I'm dating him are you guys."

"And Aizawa-sensei," Momo oh-so-helpfully reminded him.

"Yes, and Sensei. And possibly Kacchan. He hasn't said anything, but he's observant. And kinda nosy."

Kyouka lifted her phone. "Kaminari texted me, said the guys are all in the common room playing video games. I doubt Todoroki's down there, though. Video games don't really seem like his style. He knows you come to girls' night, though, so it wouldn't be that big of a deal anyway, right?"

"Yeah, he knows. The rest of the guys don't, though. Shouto-kun thinks it's funny that no one else has put it together yet, so he hasn't said anything about it."

"If you're sure you wanna go down and get them, go for it," Mina shrugged. "We'll keep the door unlocked until you get back!"

Izuku nodded and got up, only stopped by Kyouka poking his wrist. "Don't take the separators off, don't touch anything too much, and don't get polish on the robe."

"I know," he laughed. "I can handle it. Does anyone remember where my slippers went?"

"They're by the door, Izuku!" Ochako chirped. "Thanks for going to get more!"

"No problem!"

Izuku was grateful that none of the guys in his class noticed him coming out of the elevator and sneaking into the kitchen. Kaminari, Sero and Kirishima were all too invested in the video game they were playing, and Kacchan was shaking Kirishima's shoulders and yelling at him to win or he'll kick his ass.

He tightened the strings of Momo's robe around his waist and carefully opened the cabinet doors to grab some snacks to take back upstairs. His eyes lit up when he saw the popcorn, but he frowned when he remembered he couldn't open the bag to stick it in the microwave.

Biting his lip, Izuku glanced toward the kitchen door and only hesitated for a few seconds before he went out into the area where the rest of the boys were.

"Hey, guys? Can someone come help me make some popcorn?"

"What the fuck, shitty nerd, you cant do it yourself? How fucking━"

The boys went silent. Izuku shuffled his feet and went to scratch the back of his head, a nervous habit of his, before he remembered his nails and faltered. "Um. So, can someone help?"

"Dude," Sero's jaw was dropped. "What are you wearing."

"Hair curlers and nail polish," Izuku laughed apprehensively.

Shouto stood up, unaffected. "I'll help. It's for the girls, right?"

"Yeah," Izuku nodded. "Tooru-chan said we ran out of snacks and I volunteered to go get some. I thought popcorn would be good, but Kyouka-san just finished painting my nails and said not to touch anything so I can't open the bag to put it in the microwave."

"Ochako couldn't come down?" Shouto raised his eyebrows, walking by Izuku into the kitchen. "Usually she's the one to get them when you guys run out."

Izuku followed, his voice still carrying to where the others were seated. "Her face mask had just finished drying, so she had to take it off."

"Oh. How many bags of popcorn?"

"Hmm. Two should be fine. Thanks, Shouto-kun."

"Of course."

The rest of the guys crowded into the kitchen behind them not long after the first popcorn bag started popping.

"Bro, were you at girls' night?!" Kaminari's eyes were wide.

"Uh, yes? Don't worry, though! Aizawa-sensei knows! He allows it!"

Tenya leaned over the counter and put his head in his hands, groaning in distress. For once, completely nonverbal when it comes to the fuckery that comes with being a student of Class 2-A.

Izuku's phone buzzed in the pocket of the robe he wore, and Shouto took it out for him so he wouldn't ruin his nails. "It's Jirou. She wants to know if you need help."

"Yes, please," he flushed, embarrassed by the fact that all of the other guys were still staring at him like he'd grown a second head.

All of them except for Kacchan, actually. He just scoffed and left the kitchen to go back to their video game. After growing up around Izuku, Kacchan knew that he was completely comfortable doing things others considered 'girly' or wearing what was considered 'girl clothes'. It had been a couple of years since he had done so around Kacchan, though, so that was probably why he was surprised when he saw Izuku come out of the kitchen.

Only a couple of minutes later, spent in complete awkward silence, Jirou walked into the kitchen and smirked when she saw Izuku's predicament. "Guess the cat's out of the bag, huh? Gimme your hands."

He obediently showed her his nails, still drying and looking as perfect as they were when he left Momo's dorm. Jirou nodded their approval and grabbed his face, tilting his head down to see how well the curlers were setting in his hair. "Looks good. Damn, Mina put those in tight. Your scalp okay?"

"A little warm," Izuku shrugged. "But none of them are touching it so they're not burning me."

Kirishima made a strangled noise from next to Kaminari. "Those things are heated?!"

"And pulling at his hair to keep it in place under the clips," Jirou nodded, turning back to Izuku. "How much are we bringing upstairs?"

Shouto pointed to the microwave. "Two bags of popcorn and whatever else you guys want to take. We're getting groceries in two days, so take whatever you want."

Jirou grinned. "Sweet. You can make the popcorn for Izuku to carry, then. His nails should be dry in a couple of minutes. I'll grab Ochako's gummy bears and a couple bags of chips for the rest of us."

"Wait wait whoa whoa," Sero cut her off. "Why does Midoriya get to go to girls' night? How the hell did you manage to get Aizawa-sensei to agree to that?"

The microwave dinged, and Shouto pressed a quick kiss to Izuku's temple (avoiding the hot curlers) before going to put the second bag in.

Everyone besides the three in the know had jaws dropped, and Izuku blushed bright red. "Um. I'm dating Shouto-kun. A boy. That's, uh... that's why."

Jirou stuck her head out of the pantry. "And he lets us give him makeovers."

"And that, yeah."

Shinsou raised his eyebrows, looked Izuku up and down, and huffed in amusement. "We see that. Is that Yaomomo's robe?"

"Maybe."

"Did she pick it or did you?"

"She did."

"Figured," he chuckled. "Your whole aesthetic is Green."

"...Is that a compliment or are you being sarcastic."

"It was a statement."

Izuku nodded. "Fair."
