Summary:

Once again shoving my Misfire/Rodimus/Sunstorm shipping.

Chapter 1: Alone/Together

Chapter Text

Misfire was fiddling with something in his hands as he leaned against Grimlock, the dynobot stared at it in confusion. The seeker must have noticed his staring as he looked up with a subdued smile and held the object up.

“Know what this is Grim? It’s a promise. I was courted once ya know, he had dropped a rare but treasured mech beast that was hard to catch in Vos. I kept it as a pet, and once its spark extinguished I cut out its spark chamber.”

Grimlock made a confused noise as he stared at the small spark chamber Misfire held up between his fingers.

Misfire dropped his arm, cradling the metal piece in the palm of his hand, “I’m promised to a fellow seeker, Sunstorm,” he closed his hand, pressing his fist against his chest as he pressed closer to Grimlock, “I just hope he’s still interested in having me if we ever get a chance to see each other again.”

Grimlock’s frame vibrated in a growl, his arm coming around and hugging Misfire close. He nuzzled his face against the seeker’s helm as the growl turned into a rumbling purr that was still strong enough to send aftershocks through Misfire’s frame.

The seeker couldn’t help but laugh, tilting his face up and pressing a kiss to Grimlock’s mask, “At least I always have you if that fails.”

Rodimus stared with wide optics at the large dark yellow seeker. He barely noticed how careful those claws were as they held his face, keeping his attention on the seeker and keeping him from trying to move away. Not like he could with such a grip on his face, and a few of those claws were dangerously close to his optics.

The seeker’s engine suddenly went off, those bright gold optics lidding as a smirk twitched up, “Pretty little thing aren’t you?”

Rodimus couldn’t help the squeak of his vocalizer as the seeker bent down to face. The seeker (who he didn’t even know the name of!) was way too close for comfort.

Those lips brushed against him as the seeker spoke, “I want to keep you.”

Rodimus’ vents stalled, startled at the words and wondering what the frag was actually happening. He saw those gold optics flicker to the side, the seeker’s lip curling to reveal double fangs. And then those lips were pressed against his.

Two was too many to be startled into squeaking, but that’s exactly what happened once those lips pressed hard against his. There was a tingling feeling starting up on his lips. The kiss ended sooner than Rodimus would have expected, the seeker backing up quickly and glaring over Rodimus’ shoulder. He was so dazed from the suddenness that he didn’t realize who was behind him until a large hand settled heavily on his shoulder and pulled him back.

Oh. It was Megatron, and he was glaring daggers at the yellow seeker. Those fangs were flashed, and if Rodimus hadn’t been around Drift, and now Megatron, for so long he wouldn’t have realized the meaning behind it. But he did, and wow, he didn’t think the seeker would actually threaten the ex-Warlord like that.

“Sunstorm.”
“Megatron.” The deep voice was overly syrupy, making Megatron’s fingers flex against Rodimus’ shoulder as his large engine growled.

“Leave.”

The seeker, Sunstorm, looked back at Rodimus, flashing a coy smile and fluttering his wings. Rodimus was confused about the other motions he did with them and opted to ask Cyclonus once they were back on the ship.

“I’ll be back,” those optics flashed, “I’ve already started the courtship and there’s nothing you can do about it.”

The seeker was gone before Megatron could say another word. Rodimus tilted his head back to look at the scowling tank, “What was that about?”

“Ask Cyclonus,” Megatron turned Rodimus shoving him toward the direction of the ship. It didn’t pass Rodimus’ attention that Megatron kept to his back, keeping him close as they made the way back to the Lost Light.

Weird.
