Chapter Text
It was night time, Tommy was asleep and it was just Philza Techno, and Wilbur. They didn’t want Tommy to worry about his two older brothers for the time being. Now, Techno would talk about what happened to him.
“Well, after Tommy got taken, me Wilbur could no sleep for a long time.”
Technos' lip quivered, he took a huge breath in and sobbed, the look of sadness crossing his usually neutral face.
“We didn’t k-knew where he g-go, and didn’t knew to- for- 3 whole years.”
Wilbur had silent pearls dropping on his cheeks, he added on, patting Technos back.
“We were both so confused, and he’s so young, we had assumed that he was dead. At least after a while, we gave up trying to find out where he was because, even the people that had control of us genuinely didn't know where he was either.”
Techno and Wilbur were put into a new tank away from the docks, much to their dismay, it would be extremely difficult to escape to the sea. Techno was then separated from Wilbur, but this time unlike Tommy, they were awake to witness being separated from each other. Screeches filled the echoey room where multiple other hybrids and other creatures were kept in cramped and dirty cages. Most of those creatures were crying showing signs of anger, or have already given up on fighting. However, the twins seemed to be the loudest of them all, they were stubborn, suffering, and absolutely defeated with their losses. Wilbur screamed, and pushed against the cage his tears racing down his face and onto the bars of the cage. The pinkette had no clue what to do, he was bashing against the cage bars as well, yelling Wilbur’s name, tears also falling down his face as well.
“Wilhnya!”
“Teoka!”
The twins voices were filled to the brim with anguish, their voices already going horace but louder every time they cried out for the other.
They were constantly shushed, and weapons would soon bang on the cage the twins were kept in every time they would make a single peep.
“I dragged to a place where it really dark, and dirty.”
To say it was dark, dreary, and drab was an understatement, Techno could not understand a single thing the humans were saying but he knew at this point hope was pretty much lost. Giant tanks surrounded the place and each of them contained hurt, angered, sanded, or sleeping Sirens. Techno had never been so livid in his entire life, these are his people, and they were being treated dreadfully without rhyme or reason.
“I was goin be just like them.”
Humans needed entertainment, and one of these entertainments would be buying a Siren and watching them fight another Siren and see who wins. It was not illegal, and it was cruel. Techno was thrown in a tank with one other Siren who was sleeping and didn’t make a noise when someone new came into the tank. Techno couldn’t find any escape, and was getting even more worried and enraged at the same time, one nearby guard shouted at him.
“Hey! Shut it! Unless you want to be thrown into the pits already!”
Techno just growled at the man and screeched, the guards shook their heads and went away. The Siren smirked, glad that he was able to scare away some of the people holding him captive. However they came back again, and this time there was equipment, it was odd, strange to Techno, his head tilted to the side, as the guards drew closer to the tank.
“I don’t know what happen after human walk to the tank.”
He did, however, know what would happen when he woke up again. The guards from earlier seized Techno and put him to sleep with a chemical, then the head of security deemed him unfit for a social situation and put the pinkette in a new place. This place was worse, this place was plain bad, bad, bad.
“Since I so violent when I stuck in cage, humans took me to fights other Siren’s because I so violent.”
Techno hung his head low, his long hair falling slowly over his face. His hold on a sleeping Tommy strengthened.
“We are monsters to the humans. And that’s all they can see.”
Philza nodded, while also holding himself back from making a plan to nuke the entire kingdom of Anania.
There was a soft murmur of voices that echoed in the large space, as Techno groggily woke up in a new place. At first, Techno couldn’t tell where he was, the water was so murky, and extremely muddy.
“Oh, he’s up, get ready for the freakish screaming.”
Techno was still sleepy from whatever these people had done to him, but he was still furious. He screeched, hissing, and slight clicks indicating his confusion.
“You’ll be perfect for this job, barcae.”
“Ba’arcae means some mutilated monster, I don’t know how the humans know what word means, but I was hurt by that word.”
“I was kept in water for while, until they cover whole tank with cloth and carry me into new place.”
The water Techno as being held in rumbled, and shook like a groashi (human boat) until it was uncovered and there were bright lights that blinded the poor Siren’s eyes. He could here humans rumble around him like Blue Whales, but their cheers were more sinister, there were more chants screaming “Barcae!” “Let’s see what Barcae is in the arena!” “Wonder what the Barcae looks like this time?”
“Barcae”
“Barcae”
“ Barcae”
Techno no longer felt the need to fight back, since he couldn’t, he just held his low as the shouts grew louder. His eyes widened as he felt the water tip forward, he tried pushing himself back as he felt the world slip underneath him, as he was pulled into the intoxicating air on land.
He splashed into another tank that was much clearer, than the tank we was just in, but on the other side was another Siren. Overjoyed seeing another one of his kind, he swam over to the blue scaled being, but something stopped him as he felt an excruciating pain up his spine and down his tail. Techno curled in on himself as the pain just stayed in his bones, there was a bad cracking sound over where he was, Techno panicked and looked to the other Siren to see what could be going on, but the Siren had her fins flared, and teeth bared.
“Looks like we have someone new on this team of new Sirens, how will he fare with the lowly Strike?”
Techno’s eyes darted around in confusion by what was happening, at this point he was chirping and clicking like crazy trying to communicate to the Siren about what was happening.
“Groee l fromph tr’uo aye? Pour! (What’s going on? Please!)”
The human chants grew louder as the female Siren slowly approaches him with fins, fangs, and nails.
“Tre buonae, tillili aka noato ! Fronk bole ay’a! (We must fight till the death! Don’t hold back!)”
Techno fully straightened and all the color drained from his scales.
“Loainti? (What?)”
“Let the rumble begin in 3!”
The Siren begins setting her head closer to her chest, and curls her tail to protect her stomach.
“2!”
Techno looked around confused, near close to crying, he just wanted to be back with his family again.
“1”!”
He closed his eyes and prayed to Persephone that everything would be alright. And protected his stomach with his tail as well.
“Get ready to rumble!”
A loud noise echoed through the water and Techno opened his eyes to see the female charging full speed at him with claws and teeth. He flares his fins as well, grabbing her wrists to stop the attack with her claws ripping through his throat.
To counter that, she tried wrestling to get her wrists out of Technos grip, but out of nowhere brought up her tail and swung it full speed into technos side which surprised him, leaving him to let go of her.
He screeched at the now bleeding wound at his side. The purple Siren, again without Techno knowing, rushed up to him, and started cutting and slicing him at different parts of his body endlessly. There were so many bleeding wounds on his tail already on his back, a little on his face. And Techno could not fight back, he felt disrespectful to hurt the female Siren, she was older than him, it was disgraceful.
After what seemed like an eternity, she stopped and the human voice came back again. Which hurt the inside of Technos ears, he felt pain shivering all over himself, and the more the announcer talked, the more Techno felt hopeless.
“I did not realize what I got into.”
Fight after fight, scar after scar, he got better and better at fighting but had less and less hope of ever seeing his younger brother ever again. It made him so incredibly happy that he still saw Wilbur once a month, but it would never fill this gaping patch in his soul where the young child layed.
“Then me and Wilbur were force on one ship you took years later.”
Techno had seen, had been through so much, as did Wilbur, they both had threats spat at them. Up onto the main shop of Anania they went, Wilbur and Techno were in the same cage, both incredibly enraged at the humans. But crying pearls down their faces, the two older brothers were in each other's embrace, trying to soak up the last bit of contact before they would return into the sea as her foam. They couldn’t even say goodbye to Tommy, the one brother they lost so long ago.
“CHARGE!”
There was a big shout that sounded through the ship, and then a thundering sound came onto Techno and Wilbur. It dawned on them that it was a ship of another crew, as long as they could stay quiet and out of sight, they’ll be truly safe.
Phil had been dying to ask, so he blurted out, “What was going to happen to you if my crew didn’t do anything?”
Techno looked down, Tommy was still sound asleep.
“They were going to cut our throats open and throw us into the ocean with our arms and tail closely tied.” Wilbur spat out, he was staring at the wooden floor of the room like it had done him personally wrong.
Phil pushed back his chair and knocked it to the ground when he stood up, in a quiet quick tone he said this.
“I’ll be right back, I have heard enough.”
Techno and Wilbur clicked in confusion, the brunette tilting his head. Philza stormed out of the room into his quarters and sat down with a book and quill.
He started writing down everything that came out of Tommy, Techno’s mouth.
And he didn’t stop until he was done writing.
Philza needed to know what happened to Wilbur next.
