He thought for a minute, he couldn’t risk losing Scar again. If the Watchers saw how close they were all the time…

“I pretend to hate you.”

“What? Why? Shouldn’t you be focused on finding your Soulbound for now? I feel like they have a right to know about all of….this.” Scar gestured to the air around them.

“Scar…I don’t need to find my Soulbound. He’s already right here beside me, exactly where he always seems to be…” Grian lifted Scar’s hand, opening his own next to it to show off the two matching cuts. The ones Grian had just inflicted.

“Oh.”

Chapter Text

Hi there! Welcome to The Void’s Song, a desert duo fanfiction. This is part six(?) of my ongoing series Readjustment. If you aren't up to date with the series, I recommend reading the rest first, as there are some things that you might not understand without context.

This is different from the rest of the series. The other fics in the series are a bunch of interconnecting oneshots, but you can start and drop off at any point. I tried to make sure that they all had a satisfying ending, because I wasn't sure how much I was motivated to write. This fic is different, because it's gonna be very lengthy and multi-chapter. It's not another one shot, it's gonna have plenty of cliffhangers, and a lot of action.

Chapters are probably going to be pretty small, about 1.2-1.8k each. They are gonna be smaller than the one shots because I want to keep having motivation to work on this, and that's easier to do with a smaller workload. I've got lots of stuff planned, but it's always amazing if you want to comment on any ideas of things that you think would be cool to see. It just adds to my pile of ideas, and means that I'm less likely to get bored and leave. If you have any lore ideas that you wanna see, tell me. This fic will probably be around 20-40k when it's done, some chapters will be bigger than others, and it's gonna have a variety of ships. There are some rare pairs that I'll prolly add, but they won't be a main focus and you'll prolly be able to read them as close platonic besties if you want. I'm just starved for content with a few ships, and have taken it upon myself to supply. The desert duo and some other ships are gonna be pretty difficult to ignore tho- sorry! Should I still tag the minor ships?I might tag them as “backround gem/pearl” or smthn like that. Idk. I’ll probably tag them when they appear.

If your ever confused abt shit, look at the timeline that is in the second chapter of “Solution.”, if that doesn’t answer your questions, pls ask me. I’m sorry if there is plot holes, I tried to make sure that there wasn’t any, but I think I may have created more. TwT
