The ring on his hand felt light, not like he always thought it would before he met them, it was nice, like the promise it symbolized: “No matter what, we're always going to be together.”
There was no ceremony or witnesses or party, there was no room for it in the apocalypse nor was it something they would need to make it feel real because it was real.
It was as real as the fire that warmed his soul when they were side by side, as real as the air he breathed and the arms that suddenly snaked out to grab him around the waist. He instinctively relaxed at the familiar form of Choi Jung Soo pressed against his back and the even more familiar lips against his cheek, Jung Soo was the kind of person who expressed his love with infinite freedom and Kim Rok Soo someone who couldn't get enough of it. He allowed himself a smile of absolute joy, eyes shining like stars and love burning silently in his heart when he turned to see him, being greeted with a look of adoration that almost, almost made him lose the strength in his legs.
He didn't have to worry about it as only a few seconds later he felt another arm grab him around the waist, he also saw out of the corner of his eye another one on Jung Soo's, before lifted into the air. He let out a laugh of instinctive surprise along with his companions, he felt radiant, young and happy again, as he always did in their company.
He relaxed again as they were carried in a blatant show of strength on behalf of their team leader, their husband, Lee Soo Hyuk all the way to the dining room.
Yes, it felt very nice inside him, they always made everything feel nice when they did it together.
