Summary
At the end of the night, having suffered through an intensely intimate encounter with the Joker who's kidnapped a girl this time, the Batman is left broken. Bruce faces a period of shock and suffering until he manages to develop coping mechanisms which help him get back to life in a new way.
Just until the wrath kicks in and the lines get blurred. However, it's not just Bruce who undergoes some sort of transformation but also the Joker and in the end, it seems like both have swapped roles as the Joker pulls out the big guns and reveals himself as a true gentleman.
