Work Text:
No pets allowed in the Horde. That has always been the rule.
By now Scorpia has lost count of how many times the trio has returned from a reconnaissance mission with some new creature in tow, begging Catra to let them keep it. To tell the truth, Scorpia herself has asked once or twice. Of course, the answer is always no. It makes sense; the key to being a good leader is maintaining discipline. That’s what she has always been told, at least.
But then there’s Emily, Entrapta’s robot companion. Following her wherever she goes, always ready to cheer her up whenever an experiment goes wrong or Hordak is hounding her for progress. Sometimes she wonders if Emily is the only person Entrapta is truly comfortable talking to.
And Catra? She never mentions it. No arguing, no orders to send her out with the rest of their forces, nothing. Things have been difficult for Entrapta lately, though she never admits it. Her friends leaving her behind, so much of the Horde’s plans resting on her shoulders, essentially being held prisoner. She needs Emily. And Scorpia suspects that Catra knows that.
Who knows? Maybe she isn’t so bad after all.
